Laura is the author of Fly a Little Higher: How God Answered a Mom s Small Prayer in a Big Way, a memoir of her family s faith journey during Zach s osteosarcoma and death. Reformation 500 Bookstore Sundays, Oct. 23 and 30, 8:30 a.m.-noon The Reformation 500 Bookstore, hosted by Augsburg Fortess, will introduce our congregation to engaging and affordable resources on the Reformation while growing our library. 4 Family and Children Ministry DOCK Children s Education DOCK registration is up and running online. DOCK (Disciples of Christ Kids), our children s education program is off and running! Children can sign up and join anytime. Classes are available during worship services on Saturdays and Sundays, and Wednesday evenings during Confirmation. We require registration for each child as well as a new registration each school year. October DOCK Theme: The Healing Power of Christ s Love. Get ready to soar on wings like eagles as we study Isaiah 40:31. We will look at Bible stories that focus on the healing power of Christ s love. We will work on a service project, become aerospace engineers, and harness the power of a Praying Family. God s healing power is all around us. Preschoolers who are beginning their first full year of DOCK (Sunday School) will experience a special blessing and will receive their own SPARK Story Bible. This Skipping Stone Celebration takes place at all worship services on the specified weekend. Register your child ahead of time for your specific worship service.
