Although the calendar says August, Infant Jesus School is still offering tours and accepting registrations for all students in grades Pre-K 3 through 6. At IJS we value education as a partnership between parent and teacher. As part of our school mission, we seek to form students with strong faith based learning, rich in Gospel values, built on a strong foundation of academic preparedness. Ty will be expanding on his previous topic of gothic iconography. Please join us for his visual presentation entitled: Chartres Cathedral: Philosophy and Theology as Art Topic 2: Passion Window and Labyrinth Ty Perry has been infatuated with Romanesque and Gothic art for more than 30 years, applying the discipline of his degrees in engineering and history to his studies. He has comprehensively researched the interrelationships between Gothic art and its intellectual origins, Greek philosophy and medieval theology. He has photographed more than four thousand images of cathedral sculpture and stained glass throughout France, England and Italy in order to bring his research to others. He is a speaker for the NH Humanities Council and is a guest lecturer for Thomas More College. Spirited Theology is a group event that is held every second Tuesday of the month at the Shade Bar & Grille located in the Radisson Hotel in Nashua (11 Tara Blvd.) Dinner and drinks start around 6pm and our guest speaker begins at 7pm. Libasci invites all couples who are celebrating an anniversary of 5, 25 or 50 years to attend a Fall Wedding Anniversary Mass. 4 Liturgy Registration for Faith Formation Registration forms for Faith Formation beginning in September have been sent out. If you have not received the form please contact Miss Janice. The deadline for registration is August 15 th. Please note the restored order for the reception of the sacraments begins this year. Listed below are the grades in the reception of the sacraments. Grade 2 - First Reconciliation Grade 3 - Confirmation Grade 9 & 10 - Confirmation Parents with children in Catholic School in grades 2, 3, 9 and 10 are reminded to register for the sacramental preparation programs. Remember, those wishing to participate in CYO in the fall must attend Faith Formation. Take Me Out to the Ball Game!!! The Family Ministry Committee is sponsoring a trip to the Fischer Cats baseball game on Thursday, August 23 rd at 7:05pm. The Fischer Cats will be playing the Portland Seadogs and there will be fireworks after the game. The cost is $11.25 and includes a ticket, hot dog, chips & bottled water.
