PARISH FEAST DAY We would like to kindly invite you to our Parish Feast Day in honor of our patron, Our Lady Queen of Peace. In the modern parish community, people on this day see themselves as united. They carry out the feast day celebration as a means to bring people together to worship, give thanks and praise at the Holy Mass celebration. After Mass the community gathers everyone for both entertainment and fundraising. Therefore, what makes the celebration significant are three aspects: worship, community entertainment and fundraising. This celebration will start with Solemn Vespers and Mass celebrated by Fr. Frederick Walters on Saturday, August 25 th, 2018 at 5:00 PM, and continue with a Pontifical Mass to be celebrated by His Excellency Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli on Sunday, August, 26 th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon, here at OLQP in Hewitt, NJ. The noon Mass will be followed by a parish picnic. All parishioners are invited. Please spread the word, and invite your family and friends to join us! Do you have a Special Intention or a friend or family member who is in need of prayers? Throughout the month of August, leading up to our Parish Feast Day, the statue of our Blessed Mother will be placed in the side alcove of the church. Please stop by, say a prayer, and put your intention in the box at the feet of Our Lady Queen of Peace. All intentions will be brought to the altar at the Pontifical Mass with the Bishop.
