Happy Sunday, Team Grace! From Father Kirby Welcome, Monsignor Christopher Lathem! The good Monsignor will be celebra?ng most of our es this weekend. He s a re?red priest of the Diocese of Charleston and is well beloved by many throughout the diocese. We are blessed by his presence! While Monsignor is here, I ll be enjoying some down?me and ahending the annual Banquet of the Holy Angels Ins?tute, which is an ins?tu?on that cares for adults with severe disabili?es. We?the to the ins?tute as a parish and support its heroic mission in the defense and promo?on of all human life. I m happy to represent us all at its banquet. I ll see you all next weekend! Today, we conclude Ordinary Time with our Sunday reading of Saint Mark s Gospel. Next weekend, we celebrate the Solemnity of Christ the King. APer that high feast day, we move into Advent on December 2. Thank you to everyone who par?cipated in our Food Drive last weekend. All of the collected food went to families and individuals right here in our area. We pray that the food was a reminder to them of God s presence and love! This weekend my interview on the show, Bookmark with Doug Keck will air on EWTN. The interview is on the Bea?tudes. I hope many of you tune in. Some news about our parish staff: Natalie Senglaub, who has worked?relessly for the parish s music program and administra?on, is moving on to some other interests. We re grateful for all that she has done for Team Grace and we wish her every success in her new endeavors! With Natalie s departure, I ve decided to adjust our parish structure. The pastoral model of a Parish Manager doesn t seem to work well with the dynamics of our parish life. And so, Caroline Bates is moving back to her previous?tle, Director of Business Administra?on. We are also forming a new posi?on of Director of Human Resources/Safe Environment Coordinator. This second posi?on will absorb much of Natalie s former du?es. We are currently accep?ng resumes for this new posi?on. If anyone is interested, please send your resume to me at frkirby@gracewepray.org.
