The theme for our reflection is From Sinners to Saints. The presentor will be Father Sigmund Peplowski, Pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus Church and Saint Cecilia Church in Rockaway. EASTER SACRAMENTS 3 We have three women preparing to receive their first sacraments during the Easter Vigil through the process of the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults. Please pray for Heather, Melissa and Jessica as they enter their Lenten Retreat final days of preparation. CONFIRMATION/YOUTH MINISTRY My name is Melissa Vandenberg and I am in the RCIA program preparing to receive the Sacraments of Penance, Eucharist, and Confirmation. My Faith in God has become stronger as I have endured life's challenges and received life's beautiful gifts. My sponsor, Jack, has a strong Catholic Faith and has been an extremely positive and powerful influence in my life. He started bringing me to Mass where I discovered the serenity of the Catholic Church. I have a desire to develop a closer relationship with God, the Church and the community. Letter from Bishop Arthur J. Serratelli Dear Friends in Christ, This month, parishes in our Diocese will take up a collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe. The collection offers a way for us to stand in solidarity with those who experienced decades of Soviet control and who continue to feel the effects of poverty, infrequent pastoral care and a lack of buildings in which the faithful can worship. This collection provides grants that focus on training seminarians and lay leaders, supporting social service programs, youth ministry, catechetical centers, schools, church construction and evangelization. Teaching the Catholic faith to generations who lived under Communist rule is vitally important. Your participation in the Collection for the Church in Central and Eastern Europe brings hope to many and unites us with our brothers and sisters in Christ. Please be as generous as possible when this collection is taken up in your parish.

Parents are welcome to have the Baptism celebrated either at a week-end Mass or at the Liturgy of Baptism at 2:00 PM two Sundays a month. To make arrangements for Baptism please call the Parish Office or baptism@olqpnj.org Godparents must be confirmed, be active members of the church and attend Mass regularly. A sponsor certificate is required from each godparent. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION Before Daily Mass 8:40-9:00 AM Saturday 4:00-4:45 PM (or by appointment with Fr. Hubert or Fr. Kamil) SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE Please contact Parish Office and set up an appointment. Any Catholic couple needs approximately a year to prepare for the Sacrament of Marriage, which includes sessions with the Priest celebrating the marriage and attendance at Pre-Cana conferences. SACRAMENT OF THE SICK / HOSPITAL VISITS We are strongly committed to the spiritual care of the sick. Because of privacy laws, hospitals and nursing homes are not allowed to release the patient s religious affiliation. Therefore, we must depend on families of our sick parishioners to inform us of their whereabouts and condition. Please notify the parish office of any need for a home or hospital visit. RCIA - The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults is a program for people who seek full initiation in the Catholic Church through the reception of the Sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist and Confirmation, which are received at the Easter Vigil. For information, please contact the parish office. Sacrament Preparation Available in Polish Sacramental Catechesis for First Communion and Confirmation is also available in Polish.
