Dr. Estelle Breines of New Jersey (elka6301@earthlink.net) is coming early to Conference and is looking to share a room for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday nights (April ). 4 OJOTC Shabbat Program Our OJOTC Shabbat Program will be based at the Renaissance Grand Hotel, thanks to the cooperation of AOTA and its Multi-cultural network. We have been given the use of the Pershing/Lindell Rooms for our Friday night dinner and Shabbat lunch. We have made arrangements with Kohn s Kosher, a St. Louis Glatt Kosher restaurant and caterer, to provide our meals. Please make your meal reservations as soon as possible so that we know how many people to plan for (and reserve a larger room for our meals if a larger number of people than expected plan to join us). Shabbat dinner is $45 per person; Shabbat lunch is $35 per person, which includes the service fees that we have to pay to the hotel to bring in our Kosher caterer. Follow this link for our OJOTC Shabbat reservation form: Here is the tentative menu, suggested by Kohn s (which we can certainly adjust based upon feedback from our members: Friday Dinner gefilte fish, poached salmon fillet, or meatballs tossed salad w/artichoke hearts of palm, grape tomato choice of chicken artichoke and wine marsala mango sauce stuffed with spinach and sundried tomato rice pilaf or oven roast potato oven roast veggies or green beans almandine challah rolls fresh fruit apple strudel or another dessert choice

5 Shabbat Lunch Asian tossed salad with grilled chicken cold cut platters relish tray redskin potato salad green bean mushroom salad assorted breads and rolls fresh fruit brownies and cookies Minyanim On Shabbat This year, for the first time, OJOTC is hoping to have Minyanim on Shabbat. We have made arrangements to borrow a Sefer Torah and Siddurim, IF enough OJOTC members and guests are planning to attend. BUT WE MUST KNOW HOW MANY MEN WILL ATTEND IN ADVANCE, so we can finalize the arrangements. So if you (male OT s) and/or your spouse or guest will be joining us, let us know ASAP, by (conference@ojotc.org). Also, let us know if you are a Ba-al Korey or Ba al T fillah. Hotel Shabbat Arrangements The Renaissance Grand Hotel is very much aware of our Shabbat needs. If you are staying there, let us know. The hotel does not have non-electronic room keys BUT, they will advise their Concierge and Front Desk people that we will need to be taken to our rooms and let in; they will also be advised or our needs regarding lights in our rooms, etc.

6 Conference Shabbat Arrangements As we did last year in Charlotte, we have arranged with AOTA for a secure location where we can leave our bags, badges etc at the Convention Center over Shabbat (since there is no Eruv in downtown St. Louis) Along, to avoid the problem of having our badges swiped to get Continuing Ed credit for sessions that we sit in on Shabbat, we will again distribute OJOTC cards which can be handed in, instead of having our cards swiped. * * * * * * * * * * * * * We look forward to an inspiring Shabbat as part of the AOTA Conference experience and we want to hear from you. We have been told that there will be Yom Ha Atzmaut celebrations sponsored by several of the shuls in St. Louis, which we might want to attend. We will pass on the details as we receive them.
