The presence of children is a gift to the Church and a reminder that our parish is growing. Welcome them with a smile. This encourages parents with infants and young children to keep coming to Mass. Over time of weekly attendance to Mass, children will catch on and learn how to pray, concentrate and know that Jesus is present here in Church. Families should sit near the front so they can see and hear. Your example of singing, praying and voicing the responses are the best way to teach. When a child begins to cry and fuss no worries. Feel free to go to the crying room - it has speakers and a viewing window - until your child is more calm, then please come back. All are welcomed by Jesus and His Church. Why? Because he wants all of his people, young and old, to grow in holiness and His ways of life. We are singing on Holy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil, and Easter Sunday.
