3 LOVE ONE ANOTHER Today s Meditation In the Gospel for the Sixth Sunday of Easter we are met with an extraordinary challenge: Jesus commands us to love one another as I love you (John 15:12). The letter from John echoes this command. Of course, we are to love those in our family, those we work with, those we like. But the scriptures make clear that we are also to love those we never notice, those we purposely avoid, and even those we are tempted to despise. In this Sunday s selection from the Acts of the Apostles Peter shows us how far God s love extends, and how far our love should extend in response. Peter realizes that God no longer shows partiality to the Jews, sharing divine love exclusively with them. Christ has revealed that God s love extends to all people, and so should ours. Copyright J. The main dish is Paella, a wonderful delicacy from Latin America. In addition, you will receive a side, bread, and drink. The cost is $8/adult, $5/child or $30/immediate family (father, mother, and children ages 15 and younger). Dessert will be offered for a small price. This will be a great time to treat your wife or mother to a dinner right before Mother's Day and to enjoy a special dish prepared by those who know how to prepare this authentic dish. HIGH SCHOOL SENIOR BRUNCH AND MASS Sunday, May 27th St. Anthony s is holding a brunch in the Family Center at 9:45 am for all of our high school graduates and their families. Graduates will be acknowledged at the 11 am Mass. Those who graduated in January will also be recognized. Sign up in the church office or andrea.foyle@saintanthony.com and give us the graduate s name, parents names, high school, plans following graduation and the number attending the brunch. Remember to bring your cap and gown.

5 MOTHERS DAY BREAKFAST prepared and served by the Men s Club Sunday, May 13th at 10 am in the Family Center This is a long-standing tradition of the Men s Club. Come and enjoy the celebration of mothers. Donations are appreciated. Mothers are free! PLAY BINGO! The next time the seniors get together to play bingo will be this Wednesday at 1pm in classroom A of the Family Center. They regularly meet the second Wednesday of each month at this time.
