Now add our own pride and ego into the equation and living a stewardship lifestyle may be downright uncomfortable! Remember, God didn t call us to be comfortable. He called us to be faithful. A Baptism Preparation session is required for the baptism of your first child. Marriage preparation sessions are mandatory for those preparing for marriage. Sessions run 7-9pm and continue 9am-4pm on the following dates: Session One: October 21 st & October 22 nd, 2016 Session Two: February 10 th & February 11 th, 2017 Session Three: April 28 th & April 29 th, 2017 Session Four: October 20 th & October 21, 2017 Includes follow up meetings with Sponsor couples. Cost is $ per couple. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults Registration is ongoing for all those interested in learning more about the Catholic Faith. Inquirers are instructed in the Catholic Faith and introduced to the life of the Church. The sessions are Wednesdays from 7-9pm at St. James Church. The CrMS provides comprehensive, professional services through individualized follow-up, standardized teaching tools, and ongoing research. The CrMS is the first standardized system of the

6 Page 6 menstrual and fertility cycle biomarkers, which strongly links and networks the ability to achieve or avoid pregnancy successfully. It is based on 37 years of research by Dr. Thomas Hilgers, Ob/Gyn of the Pope Paul VI Institute for the Study of Human Reproduction. It is versatile and effective at any stage of a woman s reproductive life, and is the foundation in helping women treat various gynecological and infertility issues. Post-secondary program completion is a prerequisite to train as a FertilityCare Practitioner. St. James Catholic Women s League Our Fall Pie Sale was a huge success thanks to the ladies of the Parish who baked pies, and attended to the sale. Also, a big thank you to all the people in the parish who supported the sale in buying our pies! We also owe a thank you to the people in the community who support this endeavour, Sobey's & Safeway who provided donations of cash and product; to Pizzaberg, Boston Pizza and Papa John s who donated pizza boxes to pack the pies in safely. Without all the people mentioned above, this fundraiser would not have been so successful. The proceeds from this pie sale will be shared amongst the following: St. Mary s CWL Chair for Catholic Studies, St. James St. Vincent de Paul Conference and The Okotoks Legion s Veteran s Food Bank The Calgary Diocesan CWL is hosting a Snowflake Gala in January Tickets are $125. each. Posters are available at both St. James and St. Michael s for the gala. Our CWL will raffle tickets to this gala at our Christmas Pot Luck supper on November 25th, 2016.
