Spiritual Adoption Program Please return your little angel baby card to be placed on the Spiritual Adoption display board $81,258 Holy Trinity Parish Home Ministry of Care to those in our parish who are home bound, hurting, marginalized. Trained parishioners visit them in private care homes or nursing home and take them the Eucharist, prayers and the parish bulletin. These visits help in the spiritual lives of those who cannot come to Mass and keeps them connected with the life of our parish. If you know someone confined to their home or in a personal care home who would like someone to visit them and bring Communion, please contact the office (306) If you feel this is a ministry you would like to be involved in, contact the office. Parishioners are asked to notify your parish office before going to the hospital, or when scheduling surgery and other admissions. Catholic chaplains visit patients and their families to address any spiritual needs, to pray, to provide a friendly face and comforting presence, to talk about people s fears and concern, to bring Communion, and to anoint the sick. In case of emergency, patients and families can also call the hospital switchboard to request the Catholic chaplain. Key things to know: Patients are sometimes reluctant to call a priest, perhaps because they think that means that they are dying. However, many people will happily receive a visit from the chaplain. Please help your people to understand that chaplaincy includes much more than sacramental ministries. In addition to the fulltime lay chaplains in each hospital, we are served by numerous hospital visitors, as well as three priests on call for sacramental ministries. The ministry of Jesus to the sick is central to the life of the Church. Feb. 11 (Memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes) highlights the healing ministry of the Church.
