Thank you to everyone who prayed for the end of abortion, those who fasted to support the work, and especially those who prayed in Fayetteville in front of Planned Parenthood. There is such momentum for the pro-life movement right now! Planned Parenthood considers 40 Days for Life their biggest threat, with our weapons of prayer and fasting and quiet vigil. We are building a Culture of Life. This Spring, this Lent babies were saved at last count, that we know of!! The total since the beginning is 13,305 babies saved since That is a lot! One baby at a time vigils were held this spring in 30 countries, 120 of them were international locations. This was the largest spring campaign since the start in Over 100,000 people participated worldwide, including over 4800 churches. 12 abortion workers left their jobs during this campaign. A total of 164 have quit, that we know of, since our beginning. We at Annunciation are part of a wonderful work. The Lord was with us all the way! God bless you all for your support. And keep praying for the babies! Thank you for the generous donations of food that we all make to the food pantry. This weekend we collected numerous items. THANK YOU for your continued support. Times are hard for a lot of families. The item of need for May is Cereal. Please help support this ministry. Catholic Daughters of America CDA- Thanks to all who so generously donated socks,undies and coats to our community plea. Even though school will be ending soon, we will continue to collect these items yearly to help meet this need. For more information call Patti De Meo Prayer Box: There is a box in the back of the church where you can place personal prayer intentions which will be prayed for on Wednesday mornings. Your petitions will be included in an intentional Rosary seeking our Blessed Mother s intercession on behalf of our parish and against societal ills and influences. We pray also to free captive hearts (addictions, woundedness, bound by sin or unbelief, etc.) keeping individuals from living a full life in Christ and freedom from the scourges now covering the world (abortion, modern-day slavery, pornography, relativism, etc.). Would you like to join the maintenance team? How about lawn maintenance? Is you knack for painting or cleaning. We have opportunities available for all. Over the next few months his brain will develop over 100 billion neurons. The brain begins to control movement of muscles and organs. His nose is also developing. His mother probably has confirmed she is pregnant. Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

My hope is that every household in this parish will complete and return a pledge card. As you may know the Bishop s Annual Appeal supports 30 important ministries throughout the Diocese of Raleigh. These ministries include Catholic Charities, Seminarians, Catholic Schools, Faith Formation and various grants including direct assistance to the poor in our communities, missions and parishes in need. The BAA provides funding for expecting mothers who have nowhere else to turn to assist them in giving birth to a healthy newborn as well as Catholic adult and youth education. It also supplies food, clothing and housing to our neighbors in need. I hope that you will prayerfully consider making a gift to support the Bishop s Annual Appeal. If you have not recently responded to the appeal, I ask you to please pick up a pledge card and return it to us as soon as possible. Please help us reach our 100% participation goal. Hopefully these events are few and far between and with enough volunteers not all would be requested to attend every event. PLEASE consider giving your time to a fellow parishioner in need. They are to live the Gospel message in accordance with the teachings of the Church and to participate regularly in the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist and practice their Catholic Faith. They are to be registered members of the parish in which they are commissioned.
