O C o n n o r We come together in prayer so that our lives reflect the faith we profess Epiphany Of the Lord Reflection Matthew 2:1-2, 9-12 God guided the path of the Magi so that they would arrive in Bethlehem looking for the newborn king of the Jews. God seeks to show us the way also. We need to trust God and journey on the road he shows us. With every new Star Wars movie, fans have seen how the force has guided and awakened talent from each new Jedi. After sacrifice and the offering of their gifts, these characters discover the power of good within them. We need to find our gifts and strengths too. Sometimes fears and worries may cause us to be conflicted, but we must not let anxiety hold us back from following the route God has for us. LTP Daily Prayer 2019 Question To whom do I pay homage? So far, 360 parish members and friends have made pledges and outright gifts to total $74, leaving a balance owed of $11, toward our assessment of $85, Club The winning number drawn on 12/31/18 will be announced in next weekend s bulletin. All Saints Men s Association 500 Club October 29, 2018 ~ April 22, 2019 Weather Reminder Please note that when our weather conditions change to severe, it often raises a question as to whether the scheduled weekday Eucharist will be celebrated. Morning Liturgy will follow the lead of the Albany City Schools. When classes are delayed or cancelled, our 9am morning mass will also be cancelled for that day. Intentions will be rescheduled. Funeral liturgies are of course, an exception. All Saints parish community continues to serve at the Sr. Maureen Joyce Outreach Center on a monthly basis. A group of 10 volunteers gather from 11am. To 2:30pm preparing, serving and cleaning up. All the necessary ingredients for the meal are provided, we just need to prepare it. Anyone interested in joining us, please use the sign up sheets in the vestibule, volunteers are needed for the following Sunday s: January 6th, 27th The Outreach Center is located at 369 Livingston Ave

We prepared: 20 Baptisms 16 1st Eucharists 13 Confirmations 5 Weddings 43 Called to Eternal Life If you received a Sacrament this year, please look for your name attached to an ornament and plan to pick up your keepsake starting after the 10:30am Mass on Sunday, January 13, National Migration Week 2019 January 6-12 Pope Francis said this about the international emergency of migrants: "A change of attitude towards migrants and refugees is needed on the part of everyone, moving away from attitudes of defensiveness and fear, indifference and marginalization, all typical of a throwaway culture, towards attitudes based on a culture of encounter, the only culture capable of building a better, more just and fraternal world." The plight of migrants is not just a national concern but also an international concern. As we mark National Migration Week here in the US, let us begin to realize that we all need to open our hearts and doors to those who leave their homes in search of a better life. Let us pray this prayer of the Holy Father from his Message for the 101st World Day of Migrants and Refugees: Dear migrants and refugees! You have a special place in the heart of the Church, and you help her to enlarge her heart and to manifest her motherhood towards the entire human family. Do not lose your faith and hope!
