Thank you for your continued support of this ministry. The item of need for October is 72 cans of Meat (Ham, Spam, Stews, etc.. We are working as quickly as possible to get things back to normal. Please let us know how you faired from the storm. We know that a lot of you have been displaced and we are here to help in any way we possibly can. You are all in our prayers during this difficult time. Annunciation Catholic Parish Come join us on the Sundays of October at 7:00 pm as a family the rosary asking our Lady's intercessions for peace, for reconciliation, for our parish and diocese, and for our deacons, priests and bishops. Jesus sent His Loving Mother, Mary most Holy, from heaven to the small town of Fatima, Portugal in the year Our Lady appeared six times and every time that she appeared she repeated the message: Pray the Rosary! She revealed her name and identity as Our Lady of the Rosary. In Lourdes, Our Lady appeared 18 times to Saint Bernadette, and revealed her name and identity as The Immaculate Conception. Glenn LaMarque approached me and asked if the Parish would help collect soda pull tabs to help offset the cost of his daughter having to stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Mobile Alabama. His daughter had twins born at 22 weeks due to complications. Scarlett weighed 14.4 ounces and Jesse weighed 1 pound 1.8 ounces. They will remain in the hospital at least until their original due date of November 2nd. By collecting the soda pull tabs, they can help offset the cost of the stay. Please pray for this family, save the tops and bring them in. Glenn is a parishioner here at Annunciation Catholic Parish. The Parish Office has been with out internet and telephone service ever since Hurricane Florence. If you have left a message and I have not returned your call it is because we have not received it. Hopefully service is resumed soon. Thank you, Father Bill, Teresa, Kim & Bethany Revenue/Expenses Report August 2018 Your support is greatly appreciated Thank you! 7 Why does Annunciation Catholic School Require Family Service Hours? Our model of Catholic Education teaches students that true leaders are also service-minded. A community focused on service and volunteerism is a healthy place for families to learn and grow! As you serve, you will see that the smiles and fun moments keep you motivated and excited about our faith. Families are required to complete and log 20 hours of service each year. Students in grades 6-8 are also required to complete a total of 20 hours (5 hours per quarter). Crossing the threshold of faith means that we work out of a sense of dignity and see service as a vocation. It means we serve selflessly and are prepared to begin over time and time again without giving in to weariness as if all that has been done so far were only a step on the journey toward the Kingdom, the fullness of life.
