6 Remedial Instructin fr Cnfirmatin At times students cme frward fr the Sacrament f Cnfirmatin wh have nt been attending religius instructin n a regular basis, r wh have nt attended since they received their First Eucharist. Since prximate (immediate) preparatin fr Cnfirmatin fcuses n the sacrament, it is imprtant t prvide remedial instructin fr such students befre they enter the Cnfirmatin Prgram. The amunt and kind f remedial wrk needed is a pastral decisin based upn previus attendance and what wuld be best t bring the student up t where his r her classmates are cncerning an understanding f the Cathlic Faith. Remedial instructin can be dne in a variety f ways, depending upn the situatin. Where there are several students f a similar age and lack f religius instructin, a remedial class can be created fr them, r if nly ne r tw students cme frward, yu may invlve the parents in wrking with the student at hme and bringing him r her in fr a quarterly evaluatin.
