7 Kirmington Karnival 2015 This year our decision to hold the Karnival in August paid off in respect of the weather but we had less children than last year! We tried to keep the old favourites but also added something new this year with the Birds of Prey which went down very well. We had a bike race which the young folk seemed to enjoy and the array of wonderful vehicles grew this year thanks to Nev Page and his chums! The hounds once again stole the show and thanks to the estate for allowing them to join us once again. Many thanks to Humberside Fire & Rescue for sending an appliance, they are always a favourite with both children and the ladies!! Lots of people need thanking but I am refraining from making a list for fear of forgetting anybody. I am sure most people are starting to recognise the people that put so much effort into making these village events happen. If anyone out there has any ideas or indeed has any suggestions for future events please crack on!! Please try and get to 166 Squadron service on 5 th September, we have 13 Dutch Visitors joining us this year and it would be nice for them to meet as many villagers as possible. The next event is a 60's Night at the Bowls club on Saturday 17 th October! Best Wishes for rest of the Summer, Anne Hannigan
