Annual Parish Meeting Annual Parish Meeting for 2016 is scheduled for Sunday, February 28, 2016 at 1:00 pm in the parish hall. All members of the parish are invited to take part in this meeting. This is your opportunity to voice your concerns and ask questions about our parish as well as nominating members-at-large for Parish Council. Warm hands...warm hearts Thank you to everyone who brought mittens, scarves, toques and socks for our donation box for Siloam Mission. We collected 18 toques, 34 pairs of mittens, 18 scarves, 15 pairs of socks as well as some chocolate treats, a puzzle, some slippers, a pair of boots and a fur hat. Your generosity will be keeping a lot of people warm this winter season. God Bless! 2016 Sorokousty Services The envelopes for the Sorokousty Services for the Deceased are available in your envelope boxes and at the back of the Church. Please fill out the front of the envelope and place it in the Sunday collection basket with your offering. Please make cheques payable to the Basilian Fathers. Suggested Donation is $20. The first Sorokousty Service and Divine Liturgy for the Deceased will be held Monday, February 8, 2016 at 7:00 pm, and on every Monday at 7:00pm during the Great Fast (Lent). 6 beyond the parish community... WEek of prayer For Christian Unity From January 17 24, 2016 we will celebrate the annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity here in Winnipeg. The theme for 2016 is Called to proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord (cf. 1 Peter 2:9). The week will begin with a City-wide Ecumenical Worship Celebration at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 17th at Saint John XXIII Roman Catholic Church, 3390 Portage Avenue, Winnipeg.
