April 8, 2018 Grades 1 to 10 9:00 to 10:15 A.M. ADULT DROPIN ACTIVITY: On MON- DAYS from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM each week, we will have an Adult DropIn Activity in our parish center. We provide coffee, tea, and hot cocoa. Come on down and socialize with friends, talk, knit, play cards, dominoes, scrabble, cribbage, or take part in other activities. YOUR WEEKLY FINANCIAL SUPPORT OF OUR PARISH IS VERY MUCH NEEDED AND APPRECIATED. Next weekend (April 8th) there is a second collection for Fuel and Heating Expenses. Due to early holiday deadlines for the bulletin, we do not have last week s total Sunday offering. It will be in next week s bulletin. IT IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT THAT EVERYONE SENDS IN THEIR BACK ENVELOPES TO AVOID A DEFICIT SITUATION IN THE PARISH. Your faithful and generous support is very much needed and appreciated. A THOUGHTFUL GESTURE One of the most thoughtful things a parishioner can do is to remember our parish in their will or request that memorial contributions be made to this parish in place of flowers at a time of the death of a loved one...this is a strong tribute to the person s Faith and their love and concern for our parish...god Bless You! HOMELESS SHELTER MASSACHUSETTS VETERAN, INC This Thursday, April 5th, we will prepare of our monthly meal for the Massachusetts Veterans Shelter. Donations of baked goods desserts may be brought to the Rectory Conference Room any time between 9:00 AM and 3:30 PM on Thursday. For more information, please call Sr. Irene at Thanks to all that participate in this outreach project! MONTHLY FOOD COLLECTION Next week, we have our monthly food collection at all Masses. Please try to remember to bring in some nonperishable food items for the needy. 3 E S R L YOUTH DROPIN ACTIVITY Saturday, April 28, 2018 ~ 5:007:00 PM The parish center will be filled with plenty of fun activities, including video games, giant Jenga and Connect Four, karaoke, Air Hockey, Foosball, various ball games, and TWO Giant Moonwalks! Hot Dogs, snacks, and drinks are available at a very low cost. We provide this activity for students in these grades as a fun, safe, social activity for which there is no charge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Partners in Charity Appeal 2018Once a year, we commit ourselves to ongoing diocesan stewardship by supporting this life giving appeal. We reflect on God s great generosity, and generous giving of our own. With your support Faith in Action is visible every day in the compassionate outreach of Catholic Charities to the least among us; in the prayerful witness of our retired priests and the joy of new priestly vocations; to the many diocesan ministries and programs that heal, teach, and care for others. Our parish goal for this year s campaign is $48,000, which will require everyone to participate and be as generous as possible. 5 OUR LADY OF THE ROSARY COMMUNITY OUTREACH PROGRAMS MONHTLY FOOD COLLECTIONS: ON THE FIRST WEEKEND OF EACH MONTH, PARISHIONERS ARE ASKED TO BRING IN NONPERISHABLE FOOD ITEMS TO WHICHEVER MASS THEY ATTEND, AND LEAVE THEM IN FRONT OF THE BAPTISMAL FONT. ALL ITEMS ARE DONATED TO THE SAINT JOAN OF ARC FOOD PANTRY. HOPE FOR HOUSING: EACH WEEKEND AFTER ALL MASSES, ANYONE CAN PURCHASE LOCAL STORE GIFT CARDS IN VARIOUS AMOUNTS. THE GIFT CARDS RECEIVE FULL FACE VALUE AND UP TO 5% IS DONATED BY THE RETAILER TO HELP PREVENT LOCAL FAMILY HOMELESSNESS. MONTHLY VETERANS MEAL: ON THE FIRST THURS- DAY OF EACH MONTH, SEPTEMBERJUNE, (EXCEPT JANUARY) OUR PARISH PROVIDES AND SERVES A MEAL FOR 5080 GUESTS AT MASSACHUSETTS VET- ERANS INC. ON GROVE STREET. DISMAS HOUSE MINISTRY: THE MISSION OF DISMAS HOUSE IS TO RECONCILE FORMER PRISONERS TO SOCIETY AND SOCIETY TO FORMER PRISONERS THROUGH A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY.
