3 Dear Parishioners. The new session for ARISE: TOGETHER IN CHRIST will begin at the end of the month and you may recall the spiritual enrichment many parishioners and friends received during the first session last Fall. This time around our faith sharing sessions will center on Change Our Hearts and how appropriate for the Lenten Season. There will be approximately six weekly sessions for parishioners and guests to renew and strengthen their faith encountering Christ in biblical readings and through personal experience. Back in the Fall nearly 100 people took part in ARISE and found it to be rewarding and worthwhile. Some of the topics and focus will be Jesus teaching about fasting and almsgiving, the Transfiguration of the Lord, Jesus and the Samaritan woman at the well, the exchange between Jesus and Nicodemus, Jesus accepting the cross and much more. I invite you and fellow parishioners to make this new season of ARISE: TOGETHER IN CHRIST a sort of personal spiritual retreat during the holy season of Lent. We are blessed with dedicated facilitators who will lead each gathering and previous participation is not required. There are ARISE sign-up cards on the tables in the Gathering Space listing many possibilities in the morning or evening to join. Fill in the card with your information and your preferred day of the week and time and leave your completed card in the collection or at the Parish Office. Next Sunday we will have Sign-Up Sunday and the opportunity for everyone to become part of ARISE: TOGETHER IN CHRIST. Please pray the ARISE prayer with us in church and at home.
