Sacred Heart Parish could not be more proud of the years and dedication he has poured into this calling. Come celebrate with Steve, his wife, Sheila, and their family this wonderful accomplishment with donuts and fellowship following the 8:30 a.m. mass on September 17th in the parish hall. Sacred Heart has been very blessed with numerous religious men and women. Let us also congratulate Deacon Steve Keller, and retired Deacon Mo Hartings, who have served our parish, families, and community with selfless hours. 1 Peter 4:10 Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God s grace in its various forms. With Love and Thanks Steve and Margaret Keller Dear Sacred Heart Parishioners; The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (Cycle for Life ) bike ride is Saturday, September 23rd, 2017 in Columbus, Ohio. This ride is for CF awareness and financial support. As many of you know, our Granddaughters, Lilly and Kaileigh Traver have this chronic genetic illness. Lilly has been Children's Hospital x 2 for picc lines and hundreds of antibiotics for pseudomonas / MRSA over the last 11 months and Kaileigh in the recent past for pseudomonas. Many of you have prayed and given us verbal support which is greatly appreciated. We are asking for your support to the CFF with a donation. Marti and Russ Keller Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Toledo joins those praying for those who perished, their families, and untold numbers of people who are injured, homeless, or facing evacuation after the devastation wrought from Hurricane Harvey. Recovery efforts are expected to take months, if not years. This weekend, September 9 and 10, we are taking up a special collection for disaster relief efforts. Your financial support will help with long-term recovery efforts, including needed pastoral care and support, case management to assist disaster victims in navigating the system, and direct assistance to people unable to get insurance coverage or sufficient government support from FEMA. As in past disasters, Catholic Charities Diocese of Toledo is collecting and forwarding donations dollar for dollar to sister Catholic Charities agencies. Blessing of the Pets: In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, we are having the Blessing of the Pets on Wednesday, October 4th at 11:00 am. Students are permitted to bring a photo of their pet(s) or if someone is able to bring in their pet, they are more than welcome to do so. The blessing will start at 11:00 am in front of the school. Preschool students are permitted to leave after the blessing and all other students will return to their classrooms. Adoration: Fr. Chris will lead Adoration every Friday at 2:15 unless otherwise noted. Please join us at Sacred Heart Church. To all Parents and Parishioners: Our students are conducting our annual Magazine Fundraiser. It runs August 30th September 12th. This is our biggest fundraiser of the year. The money raised is accounted in the school s budget. Our school goal is $7,300. and our super goal is $7,500. We receive 40% of our sales, which helps all of our students. Save time and money, buy and/or renew your magazine subscriptions through the school. There is no added cost to you. If you would like to order magazines and do not get contacted by one of our students in 5th 8th grade, please contact the school at (419) or (419) For our students that sell $100, they earn $1,000 in Tuition Rewards Points for over 340 Private Colleges and Universities. Do you have a friend, coworker or spouse who is not Catholic but attends Mass with you regularly and might be interested in learning more if they were only invited? Then RCIA (Right of Christian Initiation of Adults) is how you can invite family and friends who have expressed an interest and do not know where to start.
