But Francis had already declared that Jesus has shown the face of God s mercy back in 2013 on his first Palm Sunday as pope. Francis described Luke s account of Jesus entrance into Jerusalem: Crowds, celebrating, praise, blessing, peace: joy fills the air. Jesus has awakened great hopes, especially in the hearts of the simple, the humble, the poor, the forgotten, those who do not matter in the eyes of the world. He understands human sufferings... has bent down to heal body and soul. Entering Jerusalem, Jesus looks at all of us with love, Francis continued, at our sicknesses and sins. A beautiful scene, full of light the light of the love of Jesus (Pope Francis, Palm Sunday homily, March 24, 2013). Sin embargo, el Domingo de Ramos de 2013, el Papa Francisco había anunciado que Jesús ha mostrado el rostro de la misericordia de Dios. GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION - A PONTIFICAL COLLECTION Chris ans around the world are united in a special way during Lent, Holy Week and Easter. Our hearts, minds and prayers are also especially aware of the Holy Land. Our parish, once a year on Good Friday, is called on to support Chris ans in the Holy Land. Many Chris ans in the Holy Land depend on the collec on for their lives. As a pon fical collec on requested by Pope Francis, the annual Good Friday Collec on offers a direct link for parishioners to be witnesses of peace and to help protect the Holy Places. It was a blessing to see a great number of souls come back to the Lord s presence, in the Sacrament of Reconcilia on. Saint Dominic Savio, our patron saint, made four resolu ons before receiving Jesus body during his First Holy Communion, one of which was, I will go to Confession and Communion as o en as my confessor will allow. One mobile app, Kik, is regarded as the most dangerous site for internet predators, because users can send messages to anyone with a cellphone, including young children.
