It allows us to realize that our resurrected Savior gave up his life to free us from any sin and to demonstrate that his love is uncondi onal, i.e. not a mutual kind of love given or provided by anyone.

The fact that we, over 20 young people, accompanied 25 families at their homes, praying the rosary and reflec ng during the Lenten season, made the biggest impact on not only us, young people, but

As I heard those words coming out from one of our priests on Easter Sunday Mass, it made me complete the bridge that was pending to be built on where we stand as Catholics. We, the youth from Saint Dominic Savio were able to experience that feeling this year at the Pascua Juvenil (Easter Youth Celebra on) Retreat which started on Sunday, March 29, and came to an end on Wednesday, April 1. We had the opportunity to take material and grow in faith. Each day was broken down to different sessions. During the sessions, we were given the gi of enriching our faith. The sessions covered discussions on the meaning of the Last Supper, the Last Words that Jesus sorrowfully u ered while nailed on the cross, and learning that Easter is not just about a bunny. Our thoughts and feelings were redirected towards the actual meaning of Holy Week. The process of forma on was built upon the understanding that Holy Week defines us - who we are and where we come from. It allows us to realize that our resurrected Savior gave up his life to free us from any sin and to demonstrate that his love is uncondi onal, i.e. not a mutual kind of love given or provided by anyone. On April 1st, the joke became a reality. The fact that we, over 20 young people, accompanied 25 families at their homes, praying the rosary and reflec ng during the Lenten season, made the biggest impact on not only us, young people, but the families in their homes as well. We all experienced that a prayer, in this case the Holy Rosary, is needed to keep us together and strong when we felt like the Lord has forsaken us. Therefore, I share what was said by our priest, You cannot give what you do not have. As we celebrate Easter and con nue to rejoice that our Lord is risen, let us con nue to receive the Body of Christ, live each day as if it is our last, and profess who we are and where we come from. Remember that our faith is not determined only by words, but also by ac on, in which interconnects with the pillars of being a Salesian.
