(See Mass Intentions ) SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM FOR INFANTS: Baptism is celebrated by appointment on the second and fourth Sundays of the month after the 12:15 PM Mass. A reflection on the gift of the Sacrament of Baptism is provided monthly for parents, in the Parish Office. Call the Religious Education Office to register. INITIATION INTO THE CHURCH (RCIA & CIC): RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) and CIC (Christian Initiation of Children) are processes by which un-baptized persons and baptized persons from other faith traditions or with no formal religious education, are brought into the Church. Please contact the Religious Education Office. RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: All children of the parish are expected to receive Religious Education in the parish school or the CCD program. Preparation for First Holy Communion and Confirmation take place in this context. SACRAMENT OF RECONCILIATION: The Sacrament is available Saturday 3:00-3:45 PM, and any time by appointment. SACRAMENT OF MARRIAGE: Arrangements must be made at least six (6) months in advance of the anticipated date by contacting the priest. A date will not be set until a couple has met with the priest. RELIGIOUS VOCATIONS: For information on the priesthood or religious life contact the priest or the Vocation Office of the Diocese of Pittsburgh at , ext. 23. SACRAMENT OF ANOINTING OF THE SICK: Every Sunday after the 8:00 am Mass this Sacrament is offered for anyone who is facing an operation or going into the hospital. If you are homebound and need this sacrament, contact the Parish Office. HOSPITALIZED PARISHIONERS AND SHUT-INS: Please call the Parish Office if someone in your family is hospitalized or a shutin. If a parishioner is not able to attend Mass, the priest and/or Eucharistic Ministers can take Communion to the home on Sundays. NOCTURNAL ADORATION: There is exposition of the Blessed Sacrament on the First Friday of the month from 10 PM until 7AM. PARISH REGISTRATION: Those new to the area, newlyweds and single adults, are asked to register by contacting the Parish Office.

We offer Preschool Grade 8 with a challenging curriculum in a faith-filled environment. Please contact the School Office at (412) for more information or to schedule a tour. GOLF OUTING SAVE THE DATE St. Margaret of Scotland 2018 Inaugural Golf Outing will take place on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at Butler s Golf Course Lakeside with a 9:00am shotgun start. The cost of the event is $85.00 per person which includes golf and fees, coffee and donuts before golf, hot dog and soda during golf and a buffet dinner after golf. Jeremiah 3: 15 After MY Own Heart provides a new opportunity for people to come together to pray and promote a culture that encourages vocations to the priesthood, diaconate, and religious life. Time will also be dedicated to praying for Pope Francis, our bishops, priests, deacons, those in religious life, as well as those in discernment of God s call. Join us the second and fourth Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Holy Family Chapel in the upper level of the Parish Life Center of Saints Simon and Jude Parish for 45 minutes of prayer and recitation of the rosary. All are welcome! The first meeting of After MY Own Heart will be on Monday, April 23 at 7:00 p.m. following World Day of Prayer for Vocations on April 22. Helen Rita Macel Parishioner Mason McDonald Grandson of Annie McGann The youth group will be having a Trivia Night held in the Our Lady of Grace School Cafeteria on Saturday, April 14 at 7 PM. 8 people maximum per table - $20 a person. Your $20 ticket includes light snacks, small alcohol selection, water and the trivia competition. There will also be a 50/50 raffle & Chinese auction items. Child care will be provided. Beautiful Palm Crosses were created by the 25 people who participated in our Palm Cross Making Workshop held on Palm Sunday. Giant thank you to our instructor, Donna Pencosky and her daughters, April and Melissa, along with husband Bill who assisted in helping to make this a doable project in which we made new friends, had fun, and ended up with a gorgeous reminder of Christ s love for us. Seven Church River Walk on Holy Thursday Night A Prayerful Experience: This Holy Thursday our bus traveled to St. Joseph in Verona, St. Irenaeus in Oakmont, St. Alphonsus in Springdale, St. Pio of Pietrelcina Parish at St. Francis of Assisi in Harmar and St. Edward in Blawnox, St. Scholastica in Aspinwall and All Saints in Etna. We ended up at St. Margaret where we experienced the hospitality of our own Audrey Henn, Sara Maruccio and their committee, even though it was after 11 PM! They offered us decaf coffee and a bag of pretzels which explained the religious symbolism of the pretzel design. We enjoyed and appreciated our prayerful journey to the interesting, beautiful churches up the river, but concluded that there is no place like home! Thank you so much to Joe Nardozzi for making our journey safe once again, and for his many years of choosing churches, routes, fighting with traffic, and squeezing onto narrow streets and into tiny parking spaces with a giant bus. Thank you to Carl Henn for organizing the pilgrims and taking a head count every time ----we haven t lost anyone yet! Second Annual Easter Egg Hunt---A Hopping Success! Over 50 children searched for 1,500 stuffed eggs on the church grounds on Holy Saturday after the Blessing of the Baskets! This year we were joined by the Easter Bunny who posed for pictures. Thank you to Tasha Leslie, Abby Wertz and the entire committee for making this a must-do event each year! Pittsburgh Diocese Victim s Assistance Hotline

Thank you to the following individuals who agreed to have their feet washed at the Holy Thursday liturgy as a witness to their love of Jesus: Michele and Luca Rea, Tasha, Kevin and Jack Leslie, Tony Maruccio, Marcia and Harry Crowley, Ed Schenck, and Kevin, Nicole, and Kevin McClain. On this holy night, it is so important to set an example of love and belief in our Lord and Savior. Thank you for being that example. Children s Liturgy will take place on the FIRST Sunday of each month. Children ages 3 and up are invited and will be escorted over to the Parish Office for an ageappropriate version of the First and Second Readings and the gospel. Each week, they will receive a Bible Verse sticker to take home. We hope this will be an opportunity to bring the Word of God to our little ones in a very special way. Volunteers are always welcome! Our Community Blood Drive was a success! We were able to collect 21 lifesaving blood donations! Thank you so much for taking the time to give of yourselves to others. Remember that the life you save may someday be your own. ON MISSION: Peace Be With You When Jesus appears to his Apostles after his resurrection from the dead he bestowed upon them the gift they needed most: his peace. The Apostles were afraid. Their master and teacher, Jesus, had been betrayed by one of them, arrested and brutally killed by crucifixion and they were terrified that they would meet the same fate, and soon. Yet, this peace was not an invitation to sit back and relax. Instead, this peace is followed by the request of Jesus, as the Father has sent me, so I send you, and the sharing of the gift of the Holy Spirit so that the Apostles can begin to go out and continue the mission of Christ in the world. As we continue to celebrate Easter and the gift of new life in the resurrection, we are at peace knowing that we need no longer fear sin or death. At the same time, we are called, like the Apostles, to fulfill the mission of Jesus through the Church. This is the call of On Mission for The Church Alive! that will continue in earnest with the announcements of the Parish Groupings and Clergy Teams on April 28 th.
