MARY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH - KINGMAN, AZ Religious Formation Update Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion Training session is scheduled for Wednesday January 23, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. Extra Ordinary Ministers of Holy Communion are needed for the parish and to be a member of the Homebound Ministry. Requirements for the ministry are: Love of the Eucharist A person of prayer Membership in the parish for at least 1 year At least 16 years of age Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Communion Safe Environment To sign up for the session or for more information, please contact Cary Ann Nunn, ext. 214 or cnunn@stmarykingman.com Baptism Team Reflect on these questions What does the sacrament of Baptism mean to me? How is the mission of the Church carried out by me? How do I share the joy and the responsibility of my faith with others? To aid parents and godparents prepare to answer these questions the Parish has the need to form a Baptism Team. This team would be sharing their experiences of the Sacrament of Baptism and helping with the class sessions. This is a wonderful ministry for a single person, or for a couple to do together. There will be 2 training session for the team Tuesday, January 22 & Monday, January 28, at 6:30 p.m. in the Parish Library. Bishop Olmsted has approved the formation of a new formation cohort with the anticipated ordination in the fall of Four information sessions are scheduled over the next few months for men who would like to find out more about the process of becoming a Deacon. You and your wife will have a chance to meet with Dcn. Doug Bogart, Associate Director of Education and Formation for the Diaconate in the Diocese of Phoenix. An overview of the formation process will be presented, and you will have the opportunity to meet with others who are experiencing the call to ministry.
