Spending one hour with Jesus thus became a tradition in the Church. Wherever you live in our parish, there are poor families within walking distance of your home. When in need, they ring the rectory bell. They are, in effect, ringing your doorbell. Your gift offered to St. Vincent de Paul will help the poor celebrate the grace of God s love this Christmas. RCIA Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults Would you like to know more about our wonderful Catholic Faith? This class is open to all. Are you an adult and seeking Confirmation? Do you know someone interested in becoming Catholic? Join us on Thursday evenings at 7:00 p.m. at the parish center side door entrance Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Join us every Wednesday at 5:10p.m. as we consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Heart of Jesus, pray the glorious mysteries of the Holy Rosary, and recite the chaplet of Divine Mercy for our loved ones and all the souls in purgatory. Every First Friday of the month we will begin Devotions to the Sacred Heart of Jesus at 5:30 p.m. First Saturday Rosary and Devotions Come join us at 3:15 p.m. every first Saturday, as we recite the Rosary, as requested by Our Lady of Fatima. After the Rosary there will be time for personal reflection on the mysteries of the Rosary as our Lady requested.

4 Anointing of the Sick ST. MARY ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH - KINGMAN, AZ On Thursday, December 6, 2018, Fr. Matthew will celebrate the Anointing of the Sick at the 8:00 a.m. Mass. All practicing Catholics, 65 years and older or those who are seriously ill are encouraged to participate in this healing sacrament. Please sign in and take a name tag as you enter the Chapel. Confession is an important part of the healing sacrament. Second Collection Retirement Fund for Priests In this week s bulletin you will find envelopes for next week s second collection for the Retirement Fund for Priests and Religious. On a national level 50% of this appeal provides funding to qualified religious institutes in the U.S. Approved by the conferences of major superiors and bishops, it distributes funds based on a financial formula and criteria. 50% of the funds received for this appeal remains in the Diocese of Phoenix to assist with the needs of senior diocesan priests in their retirement years. The Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. (before the Mass). After Mass there will be a live reenactment of Our Lady s Apparition to Juan Diego and a potluck will follow in the Parish Center. Our Lady of Guadalupe is the patroness of both our Diocese and The Americas. Let us all come together at this feast to honor her. We s ll need some Na onal Geographic, (or that type of magazine) (please no gun, hun ng, or provoca ve magazines), religious magazines, spiritual reflec on books, paperback books (novels, mysteries, or classical), prayer cards, playing cards, new Christmas cards, Li le Debbie cakes, individually wrapped candy (NO candy canes). This is a wonderful way to pay honor to someone you love or to be remembered as a part of St. Mary history for years to come. Bricks are $50 for a 4x8 and $100 for a 8x8. Call the parish office for an order form or to place your order. The brick garden is growing don t miss the opportunity to be a part of it. Got Loose Change????? Be sure to pick up a special offering box or can at the back of the church. Write your name and phone number on it before you turn it in. We will enter your name in the next drawing. Show your appreciation by patronizing their businesses and mentioning their bulletin ads. Our Daily Bread Thank you for your continued support of Our Daily Bread ministry. We have made and distributed 36,355 sandwiches year to date, and since inception (September 2013) 154,575. Our food reserves are very low. We are in need of peanut butter, jelly and zip lock sandwich bags, along with canned chicken, tuna and relish. The need for our sandwiches has grown. The Parish Finance Council has given us approval to add an additional day to meet this growth. Sandwiches will be made from 1:00 p.m.- 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays, finishing in time for the 4:00 p.m. Mass. We are asking for 18 more people to make this happen and make the additional 600 sandwiches. Dear Parishioner s of St. Mary Catholic Church: The sandwiches that your church and group provides to my students is a true blessing for them. Many do not eat breakfast or their home does not provide a breakfast for them. Now they have an opportunity to get a sandwich between classes, which helps them concentrate on learning. I, as a teacher, really appreciate your time and treasure to provide these students with food and a chance to eat. It also is a great example and a teachable moment for me to talk about community service and stepping up as a Lee Williams volunteer and being an 11.(sic) Thank you again for your efforts in time, money, and caring for the students of our community.
