We probably have been hearing and repeating this wish to many around us, and many have wished that to us. Let us continue enjoying the moment to celebrate as a family the many gifts the Lord is giving us here at our Home, St. Charles Borromeo parish. On behalf of the parish priests, staff, and all the ministers and volunteers, we wish you one more time a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. This weekend we celebrate the Feast of the Holy Family. As a parish family, I also wanted to finish the year by letting you know that God, who is a God of surprises, has blest us with the gift of fixing our sanctuary marble. As you may remember during the renovation, the marble title were installed improperly and needs to be redone. We met with the construction company and the project manager from the time of the renovation, and I am Happy to announce the marble floor will be done in a two-week period taking place on January and January The daily Masses will go back to being celebrated at the Hall and the weekend Masses and all the other Sacraments will be celebrated at the Church. This is truly a gift and a blessing. The floor titles are broken and coming apart, but above all it will not cost St. Charles Borromeo parishioners one cent! God is good indeed. May this year be a blessed year for all of us and please be assured of my gratitude for each of you as a parish family. Let us learn from Mary and Joseph to simply be in awe about the Incarnation of God dwelling in the midst of us. May their example of the Holy Family be our example for this year. Probablemente hemos estado escuchando y repitiendo este deseo a muchos de los que nos rodean, y muchos nos han deseado eso. Continuemos disfrutando el momento para celebrar en familia los muchos regalos que el Señor nos está dando aquí en nuestro hogar, la parroquia de St. Charles Borromeo. En nombre de los sacerdotes de la parroquia, el personal y todos los ministros y voluntarios, les deseamos una vez más una Feliz Navidad y un Feliz Año Nuevo. Este fin de semana celebramos la fiesta de la Sagrada Familia. Como familia parroquial, también quería terminar el año al hacerles saber que Dios, que es un Dios de sorpresas, nos ha bendecido con el don de arreglar nuestro mármol del santuario. Como recordará durante la renovación, el título de mármol se instaló incorrectamente y se debe rehacer. Nos reunimos con la empresa constructora y el gerente del proyecto desde el momento de la renovación, y me complace anunciar que el piso de mármol se realizará en un período de dos semanas que tendrá lugar del 14 al 18 de enero y del 21 al 25 de enero. Las Misas diarias volverán a celebrarse en el Salón y las Misas de fin de semana y todos los otros Sacramentos se celebrarán en la Iglesia. Esto es verdaderamente un regalo y una bendición. Los títulos del piso están rotos y se están deshaciendo, pero sobre todo no les costará ni un centavo a los feligreses de St. Charles Borromeo! Dios es bueno por cierto. Que este año sea un año bendecido para todos nosotros y tenga la seguridad de mi gratitud por cada uno de ustedes como familia parroquial. Aprendamos de María y José a estar simplemente asombrados acerca de la Encarnación de Dios que habita en medio de nosotros. Que su ejemplo de la Sagrada Familia sea nuestro ejemplo para este año. Parents, family members, teachers, clergy and all who work with or are responsible for the care of children need to remember that speaking up is one of the most important things they can do to protect not just their own children, but all children. Voicing your concerns is critical to protecting God s children. Any incident of abuse or misconduct should be immediately reported. The study essays are written by Msgr. Peter Nugent, and are to be found on the St. Charles parish website. Search more deeply into this beautiful telling of the coming of Christ among us, his saving message and works. There will be periodic additions to this study material over the next few months.
