Cookie sale St. Peter s CCW is looking for bakers to donate cookies for the annual cookie sale after all masses on December 15 & 16. Cookies may be dropped off on Friday December 15 from 5:30-6:30pm & Saturday morning from 8:30-9:30am. Plating & wrapping will being at 9:30am. For questions please call or Proceeds going to Our Lady of Perpetual Advent Concerts The LaGrange College Singers present A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Sunday, December 2nd at 7:00pm at Callaway Auditorium. In addition to the thirtyfour voice choir, twenty other musicians and nine readers will take part in the service. Debbie Ogle is the conductor. The LaGrange College Band and LaGrange College Percussion Ensemble will perform a Christmas Concert on Tuesday, December 4th at 7:00 pm. Dr. Brandon Slocumb is the band director and Ken Passmore is the director of the Percussion Ensemble. Reception to follow in the auditorium lobby. We will begin our collection the weekend of Dec Please take a baby bottle and literature home with your family and then during Advent, ask family and friends to help you raise money that will be given to o u r local Women s Center, First Choice, as our church family comes together to help insure that babies will be saved! What a wonderful Christmas gift for our Lord, Jesus birth! We raised almost $2,000 last year, let s make that again this year!! Do you remember the sisters, brothers, or religious order priests who made a positive difference in your life? Today many are elderly and need assistance. Their religious communities struggle to meet retirement needs while continuing to serve the People of God. Please give to next week s second collection. Christmas Cards For The Veterans All parishioners are invited to participate in our parish-wide Christmas Card Drive to send Christmas cards to injured and sick service men and women. Please consider taking a few minutes to sign some cards to send to our men and women to let them know they have not been forgotten, especially at this time of year. We have some cards available for your use, but you are welcome to use your own cards as well. Postage is not required. The cards will be delivered to the Veterans for you. A box will be in the vestibule to collect the cards and the deadline for drop off is December 8th! Let s all work to make it a St. Peter s Merry Christmas for our veterans! Mass changes due to Penance Services during Advent Monday, December 3rd and Monday/ December 10th: Mass will be moved up from 6pm to 12pm noon same day. The Pro-Life Rosary will be moved as well and start 30 Minutes before each of those Monday Masses - 11:30 am. Wednesday, December 5th: Mass will be moved up from 6pm to 9am same day. Our Lady of Guadalupe Festival The entire parish is invited to participate in the celebration of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Tuesday, December 12. This is not just an Hispanic event, but a parish-wide event celebrating the apparitions of our Lady of Guadalupe to Juan Diego on Tepeyac Hill in It all starts at 5:30 in the Sanctuary. We will have a Mariachi band and Hispanic food. Kids Corner: Sharing the Gospel When Mary was a teenager, an angel appeared to her. He told her, "You will give birth to a son and name him Jesus. He will be the Son of God." Mary said to the angel, "Tell God that I say 'Yes,' just as God asked." God will ask you to do things for him, too. Sometimes they may seem difficult.
