Our Sacramental Life Baptism: The Sacrament is usually celebrated on the 3rd Sunday of the month at 2 PM in the Ellenville Church. Parents take part in a Pre-Baptismal Program. Sacrament of First Communion & Confirmation: The Sacraments are offered through the Religious Education Program. Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA): This program is for un-baptized people who are thinking of becoming Catholic as well as for those who are baptized and have not received the sacraments of First Communion and/or Confirmation. Call the office Sacrament of Matrimony: Reservation of date to be made at least six months in advance. Parish registration and marriage preparation are required. Please call to make an appointment with a priest. Sacrament of Anointing of the Sick: The Sacrament may be administered at any time for those who are seriously ill. Please call the parish office. Our Homebound or Hospitalized Parishioners: Please notify the Rectory when a family member, friend or neighbor is confined to home or hospital so that we can arrange prayer and a visit.

4 Thirty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time You shall love the LORD, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. Deuteronomy 6:5 GOD S LAWS God s laws are not intended to burden or torment us. Instead they are guideposts that point us in the direction of good living. Accordingly, good living requires loving God and loving one another. We should not follow God s laws out of fear of what might happen if we don t, but rather view them as a foundation for building relationships and trust with one another and with God. The Shema prayer of Orthodox Jews is based on the reading from Deuteronomy today, Hear, O Israel. Every morning people recite the prayer as a profession of their love for God and pledge their obedience to God throughout the day. Deuteronomio 6:5 LAS LEYES DE DIOS Las leyes de Dios no intentan atormentarnos o ser una carga. Al contrario, son señales que nos guían por el sendero de la buena vida. Por lo tanto, la buena vida requiere que amemos a Dios y nos amemos unos a otros. No debemos seguir las leyes divinas por miedo a lo que pudiera ocurrir si no las seguimos, más bien verlas como un fundamento sobre el cual construir nuestras relaciones y entablar confianza con los demás y con Dios. 5 Exciting Things Happening! Every 3 months we receive a cash payment from the campaign. Work is going on now in the Kitchen of the Parish Hall and soon the Rectory will be finished and the new Furnace will be installed.. Starting this Sunday Parish Mission presented by Fr. Ricardo of the Fathers of Mercy! You may have seen on EWTN, the Fathers of Mercy program with Fr. Casey or Fr. Wayne Menendez. We will be having a Mission here, beginning Sunday, November 4th ~ 8th. Mark your calendars, save the dates, plan on being there! Invite your family, friends, coworkers, everyone, to come. This will be an awesome way to spiritually prepare ourselves for the coming of our Lord in a new way this Christmas!!
