NAGAR EDITION New police booth under construction on Railway Border Road A police booth is under construction on Railway Border Road (West Mambalam) close to its junction with Rangarajapuram flyover. Inspector R. Saravanan (R3, Ashok Nagar Police Station) told Mambalam Times that after opening of Rangarajapuram flyover, traffic movement has increased manifold at the junction. So he had suggested to his higher officials to build a police booth at the junction to both monitor traffic and public movement and also to take immediate measures in case of any untoward incident. He said that the booth will be made operational by September 15. Similarly another booth is also under construction on Arya Gowda Road (near ICICI Bank) which too would be operational soon, he said. Three police booths under his jurisdiction are already functioning on Station Road, 7 th Avenue and 6th Avenue, he added.
