If you are new to the parish, please introduce yourself to a member of the Parish Staff after Mass or at your convenience. Sacrament of Matrimony Couples should make arrangements with one of our priests or deacon at least six months before the wedding. Pastoral Care of the Sick and Elderly Please contact the Parish Center Office to make arrangements, if you are going into the hospital, or have a family member who is homebound and would like to receive the Sacrament of the Sick. If a family member cannot come to church and would like to receive Communion at home, please notify us. Remembering Our Parishes Please consider remembering St. Francis of Assisi Parish, St. Joseph Parish or St. Joseph School when drafting your estate plans. Paul Dear Friends, The Sacred Triduum of Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter were celebrated prayerfully and beautifully in our Collaborative Parishes. Thank you to the many volunteers who did so much in preparation for these celebrations - the decorators, cleaners, program assemblers, greeters, ushers, lectors, Eucharistic ministers, servers, musicians, adult and children choirs, and many more. Let's continue to celebrate Easter - it's a 50-day Season. Are you looking for new ways to live your faith in the Risen Christ? Consider a subscription to The Pilot, or visit their website at There are educational, prayer, and service events going on in the Boston area every week, such as the Dedication of the John Paul II Divine Mercy Shrine in Salem today (April 8). Finally, now that the winter weather has ended (we hope!), the parishes still have a lot of bills to be paid for snow removal and heating costs. Our Collaborative parishes incurred higher than normal costs for utilities and snow removal in order to keep our facilities safe, accessible and comfortable for you during the challenging winter months. Following is a summary of the expenses incurred this winter: Snow Removal Utilities St. Francis of Assisi Parish $19, $65, St. Joseph Parish & School $31, $124, Your generous support of this collection will give our parishes the needed boost to pay for these extraordinary costs. We the Many, Serving as One In our Archdiocese of Boston, there are more than 50 ministries that enrich parish life, inspire and educate future generations, strengthen families, and advance Church leadership. These ministries provide vital programs and services to our parishes, Catholic elementary and secondary schools, and the larger Catholic community. Our teens should have a deep sense of pride and accomplishment after their 30+ hour fast of food and electronics and service to the Boston and Lynn communities. Bridge to Kindergarten Program Saint Joseph School understands and appreciates the importance of the whole child. If your child would benefit from the gift of time, before entering Kindergarten, this is the program for you! This program is designed to promote a level of readiness skills necessary for a Kindergarten classroom. The Bridge program introduces children at a slower pace to the structure and routine of a Kindergarten classroom. Teachers encourage emerging learners through a variety of ways focusing on the development of each individual child. The Bridge is a five (5) full day program which includes Music, Art, Spanish, and Physical Education all taught by a specialist outside of their classroom.
