2 COMMUNION ETIQUETTE If you are either baptized and or confirmed as an Orthodox Christian and have spiritually prepared to receive Holy Communion, please come up from the middle aisle of the Church with reverence and humility, row by row, in a QUIET and ORDERLY fashion, and depart as directed. All those receiving Communion should be baptized and or confirmed Orthodox Christians. If you are married, your marriage must also have been blessed by the Orthodox Church. In receiving Communion, you should place the cloth under your chin, recite your CHRISTIAN NAME, and wipe your mouth after receiving. Women, please remove your lipstick prior to receiving Communion. 4 Epistle Reading St. Paul's Letter to the Romans 2:10-16 Brethren, glory and honor and peace for every one who does good, the Jew first and also the Greek. For God shows no partiality. All who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. When Gentiles who have not the law do by nature what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. They show that what the law requires is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness and their conflicting thoughts accuse or perhaps excuse them on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus. We would like 10 more blankets to complete this outreach to orphans in this group home. Any donations received beyond this goal will go toward our next project, Bolivia. Every blanket is trimmed and embellished to be one-of-a-kind and personalized for each child. 13 Holy Trinity Family, Our Church's 58th Greek Food Festival of Dallas will be held on September 26, 27, & 28, The Festival presents a great opportunity for us to come together as a family and share our faith and culture with the Dallas/Fort Worth community. The introduction of stickers made specifically for the purpose of placement on vehicle bumpers necessarily date roughly with the introduction of the automobile bumper; the Ford Model T didn t even have bumpers, but subsequent cars did. One online source credits the current bumper sticker to Forest P. Gill, a silkscreen printer from Kansas City. The first bumper stickers appeared before World War II; they were flag-like, and attached to the bumper by wires. Gill replaced the wire attachments with pressure-sensitive adhesive, and as a result bumper stickers became more widespread and practical.
