2 Our Parish & School Events Parish Prayerline The entire parish is requested to pray: The Vatican Intentions for the month of January Evangelization: Religious Minorities in Asia: That Christians, and other religious minorities in Asian Countries, may be able to practice their faith in full freedom. Father Wilson s Intention: That all baptized children of the parish would practice their faith, including attending Mass every Sunday and Holy Day of Obligation. Adoration of The Lord The Holy Hour is not a devotion; it is a sharing in the work of redemption. Not for an hour of activity did He plead, but for an hour of companionship. Bishop Fulton J. Sheen. For sixty years of his priesthood, Bishop Sheen made a daily Holy Hour. He said he learned to listen and abandon himself totally to God s call. Would you like to follow this example? We invite you to join the Adoration ministry and experience the blessing in fellowship with Him. Hours needed are: Mondays, 2:00-3:00 p.m. and 4:00-5:00 p.m.; Wednesdays, 11:00 a.m.-12:00 noon, 2:00-3:00 p.m., 5:00-6:00 p.m., 6:00-7:00 p.m. and 7:00-8:00 p.m. Call Caroline Starr at if you can sign up for one of these Adoration hours or if you have any questions. Just a reminder: When Blessed Sacrament School is canceled due to the weather, Eucharistic Adoration is also canceled. Watch the local news, listen to the radio, check the local newspaper online to find out if school is canceled or call the parish office at if you are unsure. Weather Related Cancellations We would like to remind everyone that the policy is that if Blessed Sacrament School is cancelled due to the weather, all activities, with the exception of Mass, are cancelled. All meetings, sports, practices, Eucharistic Adoration, or any activity on our campus, during the day or evening, are cancelled. Again, the only exception is that Mass is never cancelled. If the weather is bad and you are unsure, watch the local television, listen to the local radio, or call the parish office to confirm.
