We repent of times when we did not demonstrate the fruit of your Holy Spirit, when we were impure in our thoughts, in our speech, or in our actions. We repent of times when we were ungrateful for your provisions, and covetous of what you have given others. We repent of unkindness in our interactions with others, even those in our own family. We repent of times when we lost our temper. We confess times when we were selfish, and times when we were

3 proud. We confess wasted hours, and days of little prayer. We confess a neglect of your Word, and disregard for the souls of others. For these and countless other sins of commission and omission, we plead the blood of Christ. Forgive us, then, we pray, for His dear sake. Amen. We are exhorted in Scripture to be reconciled one to another, in all humility, as we prepare to rejoice together in our reconciliation to the Father through Jesus Christ by one Spirit. Our Mercy Needs offering will be received today along with our general offering. Please designate your check accordingly. Hurricane Donations Update: The Mercy Needs Committee would like to thank the congregation for their generous outpouring of support for Americans affected by recent hurricanes. For helping those affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico, we have raised $1,646. These donations will be channeled through MTW's Mission to North America Disaster Response organization to help PCA congregations in San Juan and Dorado, Puerto Rico.

6 We need help with Christmas decorations Please stay after church today if you are able to help put away the Christmas decorations. Save the Date! Prayer and Praise Service Praise and Prayer Service followed by a Fellowship Dinner on Sunday, January 21 st starting at 6 PM. Please join us for a special season of concerted prayer for our church for revival and renewal in the New Year. Dinner details to be announced at a later date. Year End Reports The Year End Reports must be sent to the office by Wednesday, January 10th, in order to be put in the booklet. Please keep your report brief (no longer than a couple paragraphs of text) and send pictures. If the report is too long, people will not want to read it. As you consider your report, please think about how it can also be a Year Forward Report in which you not only reflect how the Lord used your ministry in 2017 but what goals you have for 2018 and how the church can be praying for you. Pictorial Directories The new Pictorial Directories are here and are on the back table with name labels. Please feel free to pick yours up today. Open Hearts and Youth Group Outreach: We want to thank the congregation for serving the teens at The Children s Home. Whether you donated stockings and gifts, special treats, or your time ministering to the kids, you blessed them greatly. One resident there said, Thank you for coming here some of the kids act like they don t need help, but we really do. Another teen s eyes lit up to see a Lego set and mentioned, I used to play those when I was younger I think they are still cool though. Thanks! We would like to continue serving those at The Children s Home. Owings Mills/Reisterstown Small Group The OM/R Small Group will be meeting this month at Geof & Lynn Smith s house, at 307 Butler Road (beyond the end of I-795 North), in Reisterstown/Glyndon for fellowship, worship and studying Genesis 3, on

7 Friday, January 12th at 7:30PM. We would love to have you join us, including folks from Russ' old small group. We will be looking at Adam & Eve's original state and their desire to know Good and Evil (do you?). So read ahead and bring your insights and a refreshment. Happy New Year, Ladies! Please join us for an evening of games & fellowship on Saturday, January 13th at 7:00 in the Church Fellowship Hall. Don't need to be serious gamer...just come for the fun of silly teams & silly answers. Please bring any favorite group game & a snack/drink to share...this is a great time to get rid of the extra cookies & stuff you want to get out of the house after the Holidays!!!! The Results of Last Week s Challenge: Here is the answer Pastor Barry was looking for to last Sunday s challenge: If the Lord was only our King and Prophet but not our Priest, we would be lost since our sins would not be atoned for; we would have the knowledge that we were condemned since Jesus is our Prophet and He would rightly judge us as King but there would be no salvation. If Jesus were only Priest and King we wouldn't know we were saved or how to be saved without Jesus also being a Prophet. If He were only a Prophet and Priest but wasn't our Sovereign King we would have no assurance that He was in control of our eternal destiny. The first person to get closest to the answer was Elaine Cullen who ed Pastor B Sunday afternoon! Congratulations to Elaine and thanks to all those who entered the contest!
