2 We really did not have a Meeting in December but we did eat good at my home. Thanks to the about a dozen folks who came that cold night. It was fun and most if not all said the same. We had some very very good hardtack. But most was NOT consumed. Even when we fried sausages with hardtack in a pan. Thanks Lou. The next Meeting will be at the Senior Center in Fairbault. Jan Stevens will talk about her genealogy study. She was SURPRISED and you will be too. She did it all via the computer and has a lot to share with us. Come early on the 19th - bring a friend if you want to. So the next Meeting is January 19. Mark that on your calendar. Is anyone interested in bringing January, February, or March treats? Call or me please. Thank you.
3 In my absence Chuck P. will chair the two Meetings. He asks if anyone living in Fairbault could pick up the key during the Meeting Week and meet early at the Senior Center. He lives in Northfield and that would require him to drive to Faribault twice for each meeting. Presenters and Meeting Dates for September 15 corps. Any reading material to donate or exchange? Bring it. Enjoy it. HISTORY OF THE DAY January 19th, 1807 Confederate General Robert Edward Lee is born in Westmoreland County, Virginia. Lee commanded the Army of Northern Virginia during most of the Civil War and his brilliant battlefield leadership earned him a reputation as one of the greatest military leaders in history as he consistently defeated larger Union armies.
