1 ORDER OF WORSHIP April 14 th, 2013~~Third Sunday of Easter Welcome to Faith United Methodist Church Where Jesus is lifted up for all people and God s word is honored. We are a Christ-Centered church committed to encourage every generation to equip the next generation of disciples of Jesus Christ with the tools they will need to be empowered to live out the gospel in both word and action to this community and the world. 2 I give you all the credit, GOD you got me out of that mess, you didn t let my foes gloat. GOD, my God, I yelled for help and you put me together. Thank him to his face He gets angry once in a while, but across a lifetime there is only love. The nights of crying your eyes out give way to days of laughter. When things were going great I crowed, I ve got it made. I m GOD s favorite. He made me king of the mountain. Then you looked the other way and I fell to pieces. I called out to you, GOD; I laid my case before you: Can you sell me for a profit when I m dead? auction me off at a cemetery yard sale? When I m dust to dust my songs and stories of you won t sell. So listen! and be kind! Help me out of this! You did it: you changed wild lament into whirling dance; You ripped off my black mourning band and decked me with wildflowers. 4 ANNOUNCEMENTS Rosalind Peterson has been moved to Colony Court s memory unit. Her new address is th Avenue NW, Apt. 104, Waseca, MN This Sunday is Native American Ministries Sunday. The donation envelopes were included in April s newsletter. Ruth Circle will meet on Wednesday, April 17 th at 10:00 a.m. at Out to Lunch. UMW Mary Circle Thanks to Lorraine Wick for covering for me while I was away. Mary Circle will meet in the Upper Room the Third Tuesday, April 16 th at 1 o clock in the afternoon. I will provide refreshments. Barbara Friedl Elizabeth Circle will meet on Wednesday, April 17, at 3:00 in the Upper Room. Lynne Swenson will be our hostess with Sherry Scholljegerdes leading devotions. Guests and visitors welcome. Pancake Brunch will be after worship on April 21 st at Faith UMC. This is a fundraiser for the Parish Nurse Ministry. Please come and support this ministry, enjoy the food, and fellowship. On May 4 th at 8:00 a.m., Relay for Life Cancer Walk will be having a garage sale and bake sale. Set up is going to be Friday night, May 3 rd, 5:00 p.m. All proceeds go for the Cancer Walk. We need clothes, furniture, jewelry, lamps, etc. that you would like to get rid of. We need you to bring these items to the church on Friday night. If you can t come on Friday call Vada Dahnert or Dave Baldini and they will pick them up. We are taking money donations and selling luminary bags. Come join us for the next great Christian celebration- Pentecost (Sunday, May 19 th) - the birthday of the Church! We re going to COLOR THE SKY. Watch for more details! 4
