5 P a g e 5 C R E A T I V E Athena and I wish to thank all of our teachers for taking time out of their busy schedules to teach a class. When we started out, we had some idea of what we hoped to accomplish with the Craft/Vendor Show being the main goal. However, we found that the greatest benefit has been that through the sharing of a variety of talents, we created a space for people to get to know one another in a casual, fun atmosphere. (We created a small group!) Each activity drew different and new people; many brought friends that had never been to Ebenezer, some brought family...by creating a space to be, we have made new friends! Our hope is to continue this into 2018, but we need your help! We need others to share their talents...if you think you have a craft you would like to share with others, please contact: athenarhodes@ebumc.net or sheilasmith@ebumc.net. And, I m sure we can look forward to some more Paint Nights with Athena, who makes it simple for even the non-artist like me! -Sheila Smith HAVE FUN! I n T o u c h

8 P a g e 8 Another Successful Tourney behind us! Thank you to all who prayed, gave donations, solicited door prizes and/or auction items, provided corporate sponsorships, played or volunteered! We had a wonderful day and the golfers had a good time and enjoyed the food provided as a thank you. It s not too early to start thinking about next year...we always need sponsorships, door prizes, etc. so keep your thinking cap on and if you encounter a business acquaintance or someone you patronize, be bold and ask if they would make a donation! Contact Brian Webber (teedoff1950@yahoo.com) for more information. THANK YOU, BRIAN, for all your time and efforts to pull this tourney together to benefit our numerous ministries. We recognize that this is a labor of love and we truly appreciate all you do! Do You Believe in Magic? Some people believe that s how things get done around the church. With all the different programs we offer, do you ever stop to wonder how it all comes together? THINK ABOUT IT! The church is not just a handful of people, it takes a lot of people working together to create each and every thing you see that the church provides to (y)our church family and the community. WE ARE ALL BUSY, but if everyone stepped back and said they were too busy to do the Lord s work, where would we be? Pray about it, and find a place to volunteer and make a difference! I n T o u c h
