As believers how do we make sure that NOTHING no god, person, object, task, duty or pleasure comes God in our priorities, in our plans, and in our affection. This is no small task. This is a relationship commission given to us at our baptisms. King Solomon talked about this relationship when he wrote Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6). What does this command have to do life in WOMEN S BIBLE STUDY will meet this Thursday at 1 p.m. in the lounge. We will discuss Session 7, Recognizing False Teaching. The next Hangout for young adults in their 20 s & 30 s will take place on Tuesday, February 20, at the home of Brent and Lyric Purdy, 1224 Billings Drive. Brats will be served at 6:00 p.m. You are welcome to bring a side dish to pass and share. We will also continue our study of A Man Named Martin. Please contact Pastor Wolfgram regarding your desire to attend or if you have questions about the Hangout. Due to multiple repairs done on the van over the past couple of years, it has become necessary to replace the van. He wants to care for you, and He knows that no one or nothing can care for you better than He. He is a faithful God, committed to us even when we fail, even when we make mistakes. He loves us, and He will never say, I m done with you. I m going to turn to someone else that I care about more than you. God is calling us to not invest in those temporary distractions that surround us. Questions: 1. What is life greatest challenge for the believer? 2. What kind of relationship does God desire to have with us? 3. What are we to not invest in? We are collecting toiletries to put together 100 hygiene kits to take along. There is a box in the lower foyer with a sign. 3 Easter Sunday April 1 Chancel Circle is asking for donations for Easter lilies. If you would like to purchase one, place your name & money in an envelope from the table in back. Put your envelope in the offering plate or in the Chancel Circle mailbox. There will be only white lilies at $10 each. Orders need to be in by February 28. 4 2018 CAMPS AT SHEPHERD s HILL at the CROSSROADS Join us for Bible camps at Shepherd s Hill! For the last few years, Zion has been taking large groups of students to Bible camp at Shepherd s Hill at the Crossroads. The camp is located near Bottineau, ND. Students will grow in their faith through chapels, Bible studies, campfires, fellowship, and time enjoying God s creation. Shepherd s Hill offers several wonderful outdoor activities, such as horse back riding (lead rides for the little ones), hiking, swimming, outdoor games & challenges, paddle boats & canoes for older kids, etc. The kids will also participate in crafts, devotions, the game room & many other indoor activities. We will be taking the Martin Luther School bus and Zion s church van. Transportation is free of charge! It s a great time to meet new friends! If Zion is paying part of the fee, please use a paper registration. Youth accounts (grades 5+) can also be used to pay for fees. Please sign up outside Zion s church office with your name, phone number and . (Camps are somewhat flexible on the ages/grades). We are having a meeting for all the parents of kids going to camp on Wednesday, May 2 nd at 6:00 pm in Zion s basement. More information about transportation, times & what to bring will be discussed at this meeting. The copy machine will be available for immunization records and insurance cards. Kindercamp: Discovery Camp: Kids Camp: Encounter Camp: Page 4 *If you register before May 4, there is a $20 discount!! June (Mrs. Nistler, Russ & Pastor Thompson attending with the kids) This camp is designed for children entering Kindergarten and 1 st Grade. The fee is $115. June (Mrs. Nistler, Russ & Pastor Thompson attending with the kids) This camp is for children going into grades 2 & 3. For the most part, they are with the Kindercampers, but they get to spend an extra day doing the older kid activities. Cost: $155. June (Kristin & Russ will transport & stay for portions of the week) Campers going into grades 4,5 & 6 will find this camp unforgettable! Cost: $315. July (Russ or Kristin will be transporting) Designed for students entering 7-12 th grade. Cost: $315. There are other camps also available: horse camp, onsite VBS, servant events, etc., however, transportation to those camps is not provided through Zion. Scholarships are available upon request contact Kristin. Zion s Board of Youth pays half of the fee for members, plus youth accounts (Grades 5+) may be used to pay for camps.
