Our Share Sundays reach out to people in the following agencies: Brockport Food Shelf Rochester Interna onal Academy Na vity Prep House of Mercy Focus Pregnancy Center Greece Food Shelf St. Joseph s House of Hospitality Crisis Nursery Hilton Food Shelf Sock Sunday You donated 3027 pairs of socks for Bethany House, St Joseph s House of Hospitality, House of Mercy and St. Peter s Kitchen. Catholic Relief Services Rice Bowl You donated $ to feed those who have li le or nothing to eat. Rochester Interna onal Academy and Na vity Preparatory Academy were very excited to receive the many assorted school supplies. Thanksgiving Baskets were delivered to 50 families and extra food was donated to St. Peter s Kitchen. The Christmas Giving Tree resulted in approximately 570 gi s being distributed to various agencies. Paper goods, coffee and sugar was provided to REACH. St. Peter s Kitchen volunteers con nue to work at the Kitchen every 4 th and 5 th Thursdays of every month. Money dona ons were given to RESOLVE, Woman s Care Center, Crisis Nursery, Hope Hall, St. Peter s Kitchen, Morning Star, Journey Home, Aurora House, Cameron Ministries, Mt. Carmel House and Day Star. You have opened your hearts to those in need. Once again, we would like to offer our deep and sincere apprecia on on behalf of all those you have helped with your generosity. In the near future you will hear details about a spaghe dinner and a pancake breakfast, both of which are currently being planned. How about Volunteering just one day a month? Obtain a list of requested rides from an answering service for the following day. Call the riders to obtain where they are going, Doctor to see, me of appointment, etc. Call the drivers to schedule the rides. HAPPY 4TH OF JULY Greece FISH urgently needs volunteer drivers willing to give up one day a month to drive the elderly and disabled to medical appointments. Clients have no other means of transporta on, and you will be rewarded by the knowledge that you are performing a much-needed service. 6 SHARE SUNDAY JULY 15TH BETHANY HOUSE On Sunday, July 15, Share Sunday will benefit Bethany House, which is a house of hospitality, hosted by the Sisters of St. Joseph. Bethany House provides shelter for homeless women and children without payment from them. They do not receive support through Social Services and all support comes through dona ons. LAWRENCE SCHOOL His Banner Over Us Is Love Dear St. Lawrence School Families, It was so wonderful to see so many of you at our Preschool 4 Celebra on on Friday and our Kindergarten Celebra on on Monday. I would like to thank Mrs. Eichas, Mrs. Serafine, and Mrs. Agness for pu ng together such a beau ful Preschool Celebra on and Mrs. Morgan and Mrs. U aro for an absolutely gorgeous Kindergarten Celebra on. I would especially like to thank all of our teachers, staff members, and parents for their dedica on and hard work throughout the school year to ensure the success of our preschoolers and kindergartners. Congratula ons to all of our preschool and kindergarten students! Thank you to everyone who a ended our Fi h Grade Gradua on Mass last night. It was so beau ful to have an opportunity to pray with our fi h graders and celebrate their final year at St. Lawrence School. Thank you to Mrs. Lathrop, Mr. Laird, and Deacon David for helping to prepare our students for this gradua on ceremony. I would also like to thank Father Chase for leading the mass in honor of our gradua ng students. A special thank you to Mrs. Murphy for crea ng the gorgeous slide show for our fi h graders, and to Mrs. Sansone who worked with Mrs. Murphy and our fi h graders to create the beau ful collec on of student le ers for Mrs. Lathrop. This morning, we had our closing prayer service in the church. It was so wonderful to see the fi h graders pass the torch to our fourth graders as part of this beau ful candle ligh ng ceremony. I would like to thank Mrs. Lathrop, Ms. Callinan, and Ms. Milano for preparing the students for this prayer service. I would also like to thank Deacon David for blessing the students and being a part of this special event. Your child s final report card will be included in today s Thursday envelope. The fourth quarter report card is the only report card that is sent home as a hard copy. Math, ELA, Science, Social Studies, and Religion are given report card grades each quarter. Physical Educa on, Technology, Art, and Music are given report card grades once per semester, at the end of the second and the fourth quarter. The Diocesan report cards do not provide us with the ability to grade Character Educa on and Library. If you have any ques ons regarding the report card, please contact the school office. This year, Mrs. Agness and Mrs. Kubiak shared with us that they will be re ring. Mrs. Agness has been an instruc onal assistant at St. Lawrence School for 8 years and Mrs. Kubiak has been a teacher at St. Lawrence School for 7 years. During their me here, Mrs. Agness and Mrs. Kubiak have posi vely impacted the lives of so many of our students, and we are so grateful for all that they have done for our school community. They will both be greatly missed by our students, faculty, staff, and families. May God Bless them both as they move on to this next chapter in their lives!
