You are invited to enjoy the Knights of Columbus chicken barbeque, ice cream bar and bake sale. Kids and adults alike will enjoy the bounce houses and yard games. For the young kids, we have free cra s, water balloons and ta oos. The Greece Ridge Fire Department will be onsite providing blood pressure screenings, safety instruc on and an up-close look at a fire truck. 7 2018 Holy Land Pilgrimage WHAT S NEXT CON T See and experience the Holy Land and never,ever read and hear the Sacred Scriptures in the same way again. This coming November, from the 5 th to the 16 th Father Edison and Deacon Manny will be leading for the 2 nd me, a pilgrimage to the Holy Land. Learn more about the packed i nerary: four days in the Galilee area and five days in the Jerusalem area covering well-known NT sites and several OT sites. Call Zenny Asis at ( ) to learn more about the sacred pilgrimage. 4 th Annual Mercy Bridges Field of Honor, ---Mercy Center on Blossom Road... is also your Field of Honor! The Mercy Bridges* Field of Honor provides the community with the opportunity to honor a beloved military person, veteran, or first responder with the 72-hour con nuous flying of a 3 x 5 flag bearing an iden fying tribute tag bearing your honoree s name and service informa on. Over the years people from all over the county and beyond have contacted us during the Summer months reques ng a flag be flown for someone they publicly wish to honor. The flag requests are either $25 (flag to be donated at the end of the event) or $40 (flag and pole en re kit given to purchaser or person designated). [Proceeds go to Mercy Bridges, a free Adult Literacy Program, a sponsored ministry of the Sisters of Mercy.] Flag orders are available via a call to Natalie at X121 or by a visit to h p:// Mercy Bridges Field of Honor also provides interested volunteers the opportunity to help during the event by providing 2 hours of hospitality (aka vigil keeping over the flags ) at the Field of Honor located on the front lawn of the Mercy Center on Blossom Rd. Vigil starts on Thursday a ernoon at 4:00 pm and ends on Sunday a ernoon at 4:00 pm. Three major events are also a part of the Field of Honor : Mass to pray for our military and first responders: in the Mercy Center Chapel at 7:00 pm on Thursday, September 6. Closing Ceremony on Sunday a ernoon, September 9 at 2:00 pm: to once again show apprecia on for those who serve our country and community. Most importantly, come by the Mercy Center and visit the Field of Honor any me over the weekend of September 6 9. Spend 5 minutes, spend as much me as you like.
