9 ST. LAWRENCE SCHOOL His Banner Over Us Is Love Dear St. Lawrence School Families, Our annual Bingo Night on Friday was a wonderful event for everyone who a ended! I want to thank all of the parents who volunteered their me to run this enjoyable evening. Thank you to Ms. Lathrop and all of the sixth graders who worked during this event. Our sixth grade students truly appreciate all of the support provided by our families. I would like to thank Steve Smola for organizing and running such a fun and entertaining Bingo Night! I am excited to announce that Elliana Galusha (5 th Grade), Ellise Ga (6 th Grade), and Sophia Rickerl (6 th Grade) represented St. Lawrence School at the 2017 New York State Art Teachers Associa on Region 2 Student Art Show. Their exhibits were displayed at the Davison Gallery in the Cultural Life Center at Roberts Wesleyan College. We are so lucky to have such gi ed art students at St. Lawrence School who are willing to share their talents with our community. On behalf of the faculty, staff, and students of St. Lawrence School, I would like to congratulate these students on this outstanding accomplishment! Please remember that if you drop your child off a er 8:00 AM, you must sign him or her in at the main office. This ensures that our teachers and office staff know when students enter the school building. We appreciate your coopera on in helping to contribute to an organized and safe environment here at St. Lawrence School! The Reddington Scholarship Fund is now accep ng applica ons for the school year. This is a financial needs based scholarship to students in good standing. If you are interested in applying, the cover le er and applica on can be found on our website under the For The Parents tab. Please have your child give his or her applica on to Ms. Riedman to fill out the guidance counselor por on before mailing it out. The applica on deadline is April 30, Good luck to all of our applicants! This week, the third, fourth, fi h, and sixth graders are taking the ELA New York State Tests. While these tests do not affect your child s report card grade, they provide us with a common measure to assist in future instruc onal planning. The ELA tests will take place on March 28 th, 29 th, and 30 th. Each test will begin at the start of the school day. The tests will again be un med this year to give students the ability to work at their own pace. Please feel free to contact your child s teacher if you have any ques ons regarding these assessments. We are looking forward to another posi ve experience this year throughout this process! The Run for the Young will be on Saturday, May 6 th at 9:30 AM at St. Lawrence School.
