5 Issue 229 October 2014 Page 5 of 13 Thank You We would like to thank our friends at Grand Valley for the thoughtful get well cards during this time that Jack has been undergoing chemo infusion treatments in Buffalo, NY for 4th stage cancer. He is doing as well as can be expected under the circumstances. We are still receiving get well wishes from our Grand Valley friends. In spite of it all we know we are in God's hands and accepting what is yet to come. Some prayers have been answered. Hopefully we will return if all goes well with Jack's condition. We do not know how much longer he has to keep getting the chemo infusion treatments. We are asking for prayers from everyone! (We celebrated our 63rd wedding anniversary on August 25!) Again, thank you loads! Jack and Charlotte Napierski Thank You I want to thank all of you for the phone calls, cards, and visits to the hospital. 6 Issue 229 October 2014 Page 6 of 13 Happy Anniversary Our most sincere apologies and belated wedding anniversary wishes to Jack and Charlotte Napierski who celebrated their 63rd on 8/25! 10/14/06 Eric & Rose Parker 10/18/39 Marty & Betty Lescher 10/22/88 Tom & Mary Cecil Minorities We need to show more sympathy for these people. They travel miles in the heat. They risk their lives crossing a border. They don't get paid enough wages. They do jobs that others won't do or are afraid to do. They live in crowded conditions among a people who speak a different language. They rarely see their families, and they face adversity all day ~ every day. I'm not talking about illegal Mexicans, etc. ~ I'm talking about our troops! Doesn't it seem strange that so many are willing to lavish all kinds of social benefits on illegals, but don't support our troops? Wouldn't it be great if we took some of the $360,000,000,000 (that's billion) we spend on illegals every year, and spent it on our troops!!! A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life wrote a blank check payable to The United States of America for any amount, up to and including their life.
