1 Notes from Ruthie For some this will be BREAKING NEWS and for others, it will be a reminder, Coming up very soon - next week in fact - Thursday, May 2, is an opportunity for a double blessing from the Lord! The US National Day of Prayer, and our All-night pray call How thankful I am that we can join the hundreds of thousands of believers across our nation in the US National Day of Prayer as we unite in intercession for our leaders and our communities, but also as that is concluding, you and I can pick up the mantle and press our specific petitions as well at our all-night prayer call. The US National Day of Prayer has always provided wonderful opportunities to meet and pray with other Christians in your city. Whether you open your church and invite others to join you, or go to their locations for prayer, you'll make new friends who love Jesus and want to pray for your city, state, and for America. Every problem, every need is a call to prayer, and you'll be blessed as you join your heart and voice with your neighbors. Just this morning I "discovered" a powerful message from God. Isn't it great the way He designs special words for our specific needs? It was highlighted in my Bible, but today it had an even deeper message. From Isaiah 26:12 in the NKJV - it says "Lord, You will establish peace for us, (now here's the part that especially blessed me) "for You have also done all our works in us." He reminds us that it's Him working in you and me. He knows we can do nothing without Him, so through us He is doing His work! 2 Page 2 The Prayer Conference, Latter Rain Power, - Joyce Mulligan The Prayer Conference, Latter Rain Power, with Jose Rojas was held in Ceres March 8, 9. God blessed in a powerful way with over 1000 in attendance. The planning committee made prayer the number one priority and claimed wisdom from God each time they met together that He would unleash His Spirit in a mighty way. The first session began Friday evening with Jose Rojas in the Ceres Church. Sabbath morning Anil Kanda led out in a Bible Study teaching discussion on the Lord's Prayer. The church service was held in the gym where 25 adults and teens came forward to be baptized. Each person that attended received lunch. Most of the food for the meal was donated by the surrounding churches. Some of the churches closed their services to participate in the Prayer Conference. There were nine breakout sessions as follows: A Burden for the lost - Zac Page; A True Disciple - Jose Rojas; An Encounter with God through Prayer and Scripture" - Ed and Lisa Walker; Experiencing the Grace of God through Prayer - Nathan Renner; Practical Pointers for Making Group Prayer Work - Leah Page; The Power Behind Prayer - Antonio Cano; An Anointing Experience - Keith and Joyce Mulligan; Maurice Graham and the Youth Evangelism team led by Lindsey Pratt led out with the Youth. They were involved in outreach in the afternoon and gave exciting testimonies at the Agape Feast. Jose Rojas spoke at the Agape Feast which concluded the Prayer Conference.

6 Page 6 Prayer Ministry Weekend at The Palace - Marcia Armstead On April 5-6, 2013 the Palace of Peace SDA Church in Colorado Springs, Colorado was blessed with the ministry of Pastor James Moon, Prayer Ministries Coordinator for the Rocky Mountain Conference. Pastor Moon was warmly welcomed by Philip Baptiste, Pastor and Communication Director for the Central States Conference, and by Sandra Morgan, the church s Prayer Ministry Coordinator. The Repentant and Renewed prayer weekend emphasis began on Friday evening with an unforgettable hour and a half of members and visitors seeking, and finding, the anointing of the Holy Spirit through: a call to worship, songs, and prayers. On Sabbath morning, Pastor Moon delivered a very riveting message on God s redeeming power to save mankind from sin. He emphasized how willing and eager God is to forgive men, women, boys, and girls so each can experience the fullness of the life God wants us to experience through His Son Jesus. The Sabbath afternoon workshop on repentance with your whole heart reflected the power of God to work through those He has forgiven and called to go outside the walls of the church and do personal evangelism. A musical concert, which included local musical artists, Pastor Moon, his children, and children of the church placed the finishing touches on a weekend well spent giving honor and glory only to God. No one left hungry for the Word or for the physical food that was wonderfully prepared by Vinnette Pope and her staff. The Palace of Peace Ministry Team prayed and worked toward the success of this weekend of prayer and praise, and God honored their efforts.
