2 Course/Module description: The course utilizes a process-sensitive approach to learn about the historical development of central political phenomena of our times, at both the national and international levels, and covering various aspects and dimension including institutional politics, economy, culture, demography, and society. Course/Module aims: The main objective of the course is to put central political concept in this historical context, to situate in an in-depth and serious manners concept such as the state, political regimes, contentious politics, nationalism or colonialism in the time and place of their development, as a means for a better, more nuanced and informed understanding of contemporary politics. Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to: 1. To gain knowledge on political events and phenomena. 2. To analyze historical political processes and development. 3. To compare political phenomena across time and space. 4. To apply the understanding of historical developments on current events.
