2 Course/Module description: The course will be focused on development of macro thinking regarding the social work profession. It will deal with issues such as the knowledge base of social work practice. It will explore in depth various critical paradigms. It will look into the question of why some theories are incorporated in to the profession and some are not Course/Module aims: Development of advanced knowledge, Critical thinking, and the ability to be future pioneers of updated professional mission. Learning outcomes - On successful completion of this module, students should be able to: To write an essay that will express the gained knowledge, analytical thinking, regarding wide range of paradigms and theories that deal with social works mission statement. Attendance requirements(%): etendence is obligatory Teaching arrangement and method of instruction: Frontal, class discussions, professional guests will be invited. Course/Module Content: Is social work practice is theoretically based? The professions choice to be attached to social science rather than to humanities. Which theories are incorpereted to the professional practice and which are not The case of chaos Theory and the case of The functional theory.
