He talks about how feelgood, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world.

Bill Gates recently gave a speech at a High School about 11 things they did not and will not learn in school. He talks about how feelgood, politically correct teachings created a generation of kids with no concept of reality and how this concept set them up for failure in the real world. Rule 1: Life is not fair get used to it! Rule 2: The world won t care about your self-esteem. The world will expect you to accomplish something BEFORE you feel good about yourself. Rule 3: You will NOT make $60,000 a year right out of high school. You won t be a vice-president with a car phone until you earn both. Rule 4: If you think your teacher is tough, wait till you get a boss. Rule 5: Flipping burgers is not beneath your dignity. You Grandparents had a different word for burger flipping: they called it opportunity. Rule 6: If you mess up, it s not your parents fault, so don t whine about your mistakes, learn from them. 2

They got that way from paying your bills, cleaning your clothes and listening to you talk about how cool you thought you were. Happy month of October! Rule 8: Your school may have done away with winners and losers, but life HAS NOT. In some schools, they have abolished failing grades and they ll give you as MANY TIMES as you want to get the right answer. This doesn t bear the slightest resemblance to ANYTHING in real life. Rule 9: Life is not divided into semesters. You don t get summers off and very few employers are interested in helping you FIND YOURSELF. Do that on your own time Rule 10: Television is NOT real life. In real life people actually have to leave the coffee shop and go to jobs. Rule 11: Be nice to nerds. Chances are you ll end up working for one. 3

Mireille Awad, a reputed pharmacist, visits us almost every month to offer her time to meet with you and review your medication and medical file. She always finds improvements that can be made in your medication regimen to improve your health. She ensures you don t take too many pills and that the ones that you do take are the right ones for you. With time, our needs for different pills change and adjustments are often necessary. Family physicians often do not have enough time on their hands to review your medication regimen. Mireille can ensure you are not having any side effects from the pills you take and that your kidneys are still strong enough to eliminate the medication. She then sends her recommendations to your family physicians, wherever they may be. Your doctors always appreciate her input and this makes their work so much easier. You can take an appointment to meet with her at reception. I also want to continue to annoy you with infection control. Yes, the flu season has arrived! I m therefore urging you to wash your hands as often as possible either with soap or with Purell. If you feel ill, please stay in your suites and contact the nursing staff so that they can come assess your condition. It will be their pleasure to come see you and you will make our work so much easier by doing so. «Snow Removal Season with Mylaine Seguin s» Dear Residents, 2018-2019 Season Once again this year, I am offering my services for your car s snow removal for the 2018-2019 winter season. Cost: $ 5.

Therefore, snow removal will be done before 7 am and after 3 pm only if there was a precipitation of 2 cm of snow or more.

Cost: $ 5.00 per snow removal payable at the end of the 2019 winter either in cash or by cheque Because I also have other obligations, I can only do the snow removal outside of my usual work hours. Therefore, snow removal will be done before 7 am and after 3 pm only if there was a precipitation of 2 cm of snow or more. On weekends, the snow removal will only be performed after the snow fall has ended. If you are interested in the service I am offering you, please fill out a form to this effect at reception. 16 A Prayer Lord I come before You, desiring to provide thanks. Father, I have so much to be thankful for, things unseen and seen, that You have done in my life. Lord, mostly I am thankful for the relationship that I have with You. Lord, You initiated this relationship, by what Your Son endeavored to accomplish, paying the price for my sin, redeeming and reconciling me. Dear Heavenly Father, You know the times I have been ungrateful, held ill thoughts toward You and my fellow humans. You know the times I complain and grumble about life and its circumstances, about suffering, going through what seem endless trials and tribulations. Even yielding my members to unholy deeds. Yet God You are and always will be there with me, even when it seems like I am forever in the wilderness, running further and further from You, You, my God are there guiding me back to Your loving arms. I am thankful Lord for everything that You allow to cross my path. Thankful for the decisions that You allow me to make and the lessons that come from these decisions. I m thankful, Lord, that I do not have to live under condemnation anymore, that You have truly set me free, that I am a new creation that I need not live under the law anymore. Thankful Lord that You have given me joy unspeakable. Thankful Lord that You are longsuffering, allowing me to mature in You! Lord, words do not express my thankfulness. For Your mighty power is at work in me, transforming me, renewing my mind. To You Lord belong thanks eternal. In Jesus name, amen. 16
