I wish you all a blessed and holy Christmas and a very peaceful and prosperous New Year. Please enjoy having your children with you over this summer time and look after each other. My thoughts and prayers are also with those who will be celebrating Christmas without loved ones, may you find peace and love in their absence. I am already looking forward to 2016 and seeing you all again. We have sent home reports today and with the name of the teacher for your child for We have also included a letter detailing next year s fees. On Friday we will be celebrating the end of year with a liturgy at 10:30am. All parents are most welcome to attend our celebrations. School will be finishing at 12:00 noon and parents are asked to ensure that arrangements have been made for children to be picked up at this time. Staff will be leaving the school soon after to celebrate the end of year with a luncheon and there will be no supervision available for children at the school. Thank you to all our staff for your tremendous professionalism and service in We are indeed fortunate to be blessed with such a talented and dedicated team. Parents, thank you for your support of our school this year. Much of our success rests on partnership and I am extremely grateful for the spirit that makes CTK so wonderful. I wish all those families who are leaving us this year every blessing and hope that the next stage in your child s educational journey is wonderful. God has called you and you will not fail you. 1 Thess HAPPY HOLIDAYS I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a safe and happy new year. This extended break is a good opportunity for parents to spend some quality time with their children and have a break from the routine of school. I always found over this holiday period, that I got to know my children that little bit better. Even though I knew my children well, I would discover something I didn t know about them because I was able to spend uninterrupted quality time with them. VINNIES CHRISTMAS APPEAL We raised $ for the Vinnies Christmas appeal here in the Graceville Corinda Parish. This money will go towards assisting the poor have a better Christmas. Thank you for your generosity. To The CTK Community I would like to take this opportunity to thank the CTK community for giving me a wonderful place to work for the past 11 years. I have been truly blessed to work with amazing teachers that give so much to our children. They are supported by our wonderful, caring school officers who do an extraordinary job. I would like to thank Trudy for her continuous leadership and support and for the many opportunities she has given me. To Chrissy and Bern in the office, it has been a pleasure to work closely with you both. To the CTK kids and their families, I have been blessed to share a very small part of your lives; I have loved every minute of getting to know you. Thank you for enriching my life. 3 Library News Harry Potter Quiz Congratulations to Tarah in Year 5 for winning the Harry Potter Quiz in The competition was very close in that there was a tie for both 2 nd and 3 rd places. In 2 nd place: Elliiott 4 B and Dominic Fitz 3b and in 3 rd place: Oliver S-J 4B and Hannah A 3 R I can honestly say that the competition results were of an extremely high standard. Well done to everyone who participated. Overdue Books Thank you to those who have returned their overdue books. If you have misplaced yours, please have a look for it over the holidays and return it in January. P&F News CTK FETE 2016 Fete Convenor is required for our 2016 Fete. The first Friday of the month will be held at the Parish Centre, Graceville. All other nights will be held at St Joseph s Hall Corinda. So Year 6 students plan to be there in 2016 and be part of this exciting new program.
