We like to give, God, but only when our stomachs are full and our wants are fulfilled. Teach us to respond to your love with generosity to the church and to the world. 5 Upcoming Men s Breakfast: Join in for an outing to Stahl s Automotive Museum in New Baltimore on Saturday, Nov. 3. Check out over 80 cars on display ranging from the 1886 Daimler prototype to the muscle cars of the 1960s with special emphasis on the great cars of the 1930s and 1940s. It s also home to a number of restored and operational automated musical instruments, gas pump, signs and memorabilia. Carpool from the church parking at 10:00 a.m. If you are interested, meet for breakfast at Leo s Coney Island at 9:00 a.m. Craft Show & Bake Sale: Save the date for Saturday, Nov. 10 when you can shop for unique and all homemade gifts of every type from 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. in Knox Hall. These will become family memories knowing they were bought out of love. We will also have a wonderful bake sale and will be selling pizza for lunch. We welcome anyone willing to volunteer to work two-hour shifts or to bake for the sale. Let's come out to support our church and crafters. For more information, please see Deborah Draper. Second Mile Thanksgiving baskets: On Nov. 4 and Nov. 11, PW will collect food donations for families aided by the Second Mile Center in Detroit. Requested items: elbow macaroni, canned cranberry sauce, yams, green beans and corn, brownie or cake mix, canned frosting, and corn meal. Place in blue tubs are near the coat racks by the kiosk. If you would like to help with perishable items, please write a check to Second Mile Center or donate a gift card to Kroger or Sam s Club. Sue Carlson is collecting these. Help stock C.A.R.E.S. pantry shelves: In November, we are collecting cereal, spaghetti and baked beans. Adding a few things to your grocery list as a donation to C.A.R.E.S. is a great way to assist those in need. Monetary donations are welcome anytime! Have Box Tops for Education at home? Please cut them out, bring them in and put them in the collection box for Hillside Elementary School. Each box top coupon is worth 10 cents for Hillside educational programs. With just a little effort, we can add significant financial to support our adopted school. Look for the plaid box in the Narthex and add your 10 cents! If you have any questions, please contact Martha Countegan. Save pull tabs for a good cause: Please bring pull tabs from pop cans and others to church for the Ronald McDonald House! Mitchell Cressman has put out little boxes in the narthex and Knox Hall to collect the pull tabs. Pull tabs turn in to coins to support the Ronald McDonald House. Mitchell has a personal connection as his family stayed in one in Indiana. Hospitality Time schedule: You are invited to bring ONE food item on ONE Sunday each month.
