The executive committee (John Hanks, president; Bizzi Drinkaus, vice president; Bob Ricci, treasurer; Steve Degn, last council president, Pastor Beebe) meets the week before the full council. If you have any new ideas or suggestions for improvement in our congregation, please let a member of the executive committee know so they can discuss it at their meeting and direct the idea to the appropriate ministry team, staff member, or the council as a whole. Here s the May meeting highlights: The new Intentional Interim, Barbara Berry-Bailey, as accepted the call to come to Our Saviour s. Council did a phone interview with her on Wed., June 14th. John Hanks and Dan Barrell have been working on optimizing the thermostats and sprinkler system over the past month. Rich Jones resigned his position from the Council and Dan Barrell has agreed to act as Evangelism liaison through the end of Robin Elwart will no longer be the nursery attendant, so that spot will have to be filled. It was determined that the two sets of aluminum doors going outside need to be replaced and ADA options need to be considered as well. Chris Entzel will research and bring proposals to the July Council meeting. Details on these, as well as all everything else from the June 2017 Council Meeting can be found in the Minutes. Please feel free to ask any Council member questions that you may have on these issues. 2

4 Say Hello to Bob Ricci Each month, we will be spotlighting a Council person, so that you can get to know our leaders. This month, the spotlight is on our Treasurer, Bob Ricci. Bob and his wife, Cathy, have been members of Our Saviour s for over 25 years. They are the proud parents of three adult sons and joy-filled grandparents of 5. After a career in public education, Bob became a software consultant, working primarily with school districts in Utah and Alaska. He enjoys travel - and travels a lot! He also enjoys photography and spending time with his family. Bob has served tirelessly for many years as the OSLC Treasurer, as well as serving in past years as Council President and on various committees. In addition, he volunteers during worship services as Assisting Minister, Usher, Reader, Communion Assistant and running the AV equipment (not all at once!). Bob volunteers with and supports Cathy, who is the Family Promise Coordinator for Our Saviour s - a large and time-consuming, but very rewarding job. You can often see Bob on Sunday mornings with Cathy and some grandchildren close by. Be sure and say hi and let him know that he is appreciated! Thank you, Bob, for so your selfless service!
