Rooted in the celebration of the Eucharist, we go forth to serve, to educate, and to live daily the message of Jesus Christ.

2 DEAR HOLY FAMILY PARISHIONERS: The Season of Advent is over soon. The Season of Christmas will begin. What a joyous time in the liturgical year of the Church. The much-awaited event has occurred. The Savior promised throughout the Old Testament was born in a lowly stable in Bethlehem. The promise was fulfilled. And what a fulfilled promise it was then & now. Just think about it---god took flesh for us! The invisible God became visible. As Jesus would often say: If you have seen me, you have seen the Father. Our God has taken on human form so that He could bring us the Good News in person. That is why countless millions across the globe will gather in worship this Christmas, to worship a God who thought so much of us that He sent His only Son to save us. And each time we gather for Mass, we remember in a special way what the Baby born at Bethlehem did for us. He suffered, died, & rose so that eternal life could once again be ours. Let us capture the true nature of Christmas. Let us look beyond the presents & parties & decorations to see Jesus Himself. He is the true source of our celebration. Let us share the love of the Lord with those who are part of our lives. Let us spread the hope of the manger scene with a world that desperately cries out for hope amidst despair. Let us bring the peace of Jesus to an often violent & war-filled world. Let us be a source of the joy of Jesus to all. I wish you all a blessed & joyful Christmas. May God who took flesh draw you closer to Himself & those around you during this Christmas Season. Know of my special prayers during the Christmas Masses. There will be just one Mass on Monday the 1st to celebrate this non-obligatory Holy Day. Due to your generosity, our Catholic Grade School continues to provide quality, Catholic education for our young people. PLEASE help us now & into the future by contributing. If you did not get the brochure, there are some on the shelf in the church vestibule. Holy Family Parish has a gem in our School---may all of us help it to shine brightly due to our generous giving! ST. TERESA PLACEMENT TEST for incoming freshmen of the class of 2022 will be given on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 9:00 am. The purpose of taking the placement exam is to give St. Teresa information on properly placing students and in developing a successful 4 year academic plan. Please call St. Teresa for more information, or to register for the test. THANKS to all who helped with the Christmas décor, especially Diane Keller & Jerry Keller. Thanks also to Ron Evans for assistance with the half-trees in the décor. AND, we appreciate all who donated to the Christmas Décor Fund in memory of a deceased loved one. WE RE GRATEFUL to the PSR Confirmation students who dusted the church pews recently for all of us as one of their service projects. BRAVO to them! ANNUAL CATHOLIC SERVICES APPEAL: This is Christmas Eve! The world has been waiting for the birth of the Savior, & now the time has come to celebrate. By your generous contribution to the ACSA Campaign, you can help our Diocese & our Parish. Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) Classes for those interested in joining the Catholic faith begin in the fall of each year and continue through the Easter season.
