There are God Is Here! signs in the office, chapel, and narthex for you to take with you and take pictures to post on social media with #whereverfbcjgoes. Church members will also be sharing in worship where they see God present in our life together as a congregation. If you would like to share, contact Greg. We will conclude our summer series with a Homecoming Celebration on Sunday, July 30. Many of us travel throughout the summer, but when you are in town, make every effort to be present for worship and Bible Study. We will begin on Saturday, June 3rd with a 12-hour prayer vigil (9:00am 9:00pm) asking to be made more fully aware of God s presence among us. You can participate in the vigil by signing up for a 15 minute time slot by ing Greg Pope or the office. In the month of July we will hold only one service at 11:00 in the sanctuary in order to give our worship band a rest and to take some time for creative planning. During this series we will dig deeper into who God is calling us to be a congregation and how we can use our gifts in our church and community. We look forward to a summer of growth and action! *see full sermon schedule on pg. 6* Monthly Meditation "I hereby command you: Be strong and courageous; do not be frightened or dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." -Joshua 1:9

5 During the summer months we are participating in a church wide project called "God is here!" During June & July our congregation often scatters between family vacations, mission trips, kids & youth camps, visiting loved ones, and weekend or day trips. The challenge is this - to take a sign that says "God is here!" with you and your family, snap a picture, and post it on social media with the hashtag #whereverfbcjgoes. The hashtag will link all the posts together so Annie can gather them together. If you don't use social media, the pictures to youth@fbcjasper.com. This project is a reminder to us that no matter where we go, inside or out of the church, God is already there and is with you! Be creative with the pictures and check out Facebook, Instagram, and the August newsletter to see the adventures of our church family! If you didn't get a sign on Sunday, come by the church office and pick one up! 1 2 H o u r P r a y e r V i g i l Saturday, June 3 9:00a m - 9 : 0 0 p m sign up for a 15 minute time slot by calling or ing Greg or the church office We ask that you select one of 12 categories of our life together as a family of faith to provide focus for your prayer: 1) eyes to see where God is present 2) people sharing themselves, their gifts, and their resources through the church 3) for each person to find their place of ministry in the church 4) for us to walk faithfully in the way of Jesus 5) a strengthened sense of community 6) the courage to share our faith in word and deed beyond the walls of the church 7) for us to be a house of prayer & worship for all 8) for us to see worship as a time to offer ourselves to God 9) Vacation Bible School 10) Mission Trip 11) the ministerial staff, deacon body, the sick and hurting in our church 12) Jasper community and the larger world.
