Millennials were born between early 1980s and They make up 25% of the US population, expend more than $1 trillion in discretionary disbursements, are likely to be early adopters of technologies, and desire to travel abroad. How churches address issues like vision and values, excellence and equality, culture and community and insularity and openness may impact the ability for pastors and congregations to connect successfully. Millennial and Xennial pastoral leaders will coach and challenge us to imagine the possibilities for meaningful missions and ministry among millennials and xennials. We have enjoyed more than two decades of innovative global witness since calling Dr. David Emmanuel Goatley to serve as the Executive Secretary-Treasurer in November He has accepted the invitation to serve as Research Professor of Theology and Black Church Studies and Director of the Office of Black Church Studies at Duke University Divinity School to nurture a new generation of pastors and scholars for the church. We rejoice in this new call of service and look forward what the Lord has in store for all of us.
